We’ve been to the Woodcliff during the holidays multiple times over the years, but this time it was disappointing. The room itself was fine and the staff were friendly and professional. Where they fell short was the availability of food on Christmas and their fitness/pool area. In past years there had been a wonderful brunch, but this year the restaurant was closed and instead there was only coffee and complementary continental breakfast, leaving patrons to try to hunt for food in a region closed for the holiday. The website said the pool was available, but was at 70 F. However, at the hotel, there were signs posted saying the pool was closed. What was formerly a well stocked fitness center had become a set of a few pieces of equipment, including a treadmill that had a broken incline. I understand that refurbishing a facility can be required, so having one of two of the elevators out of service for replacement did not factor into the review. The changes at the Woodcliff were a disappointment.
