If you are still unsure about PR after the storm, DONT BE!!! The foliage is all back, many of the beaches are bigger than they used to be and the restaurants are All Open. We took a Rental break in 2017 to make upgrades.

If you are looking for the cheapest place to stay in Rincon, we are NOT it. If you want to be certain to be staying in a great location, with a great view and a have a clean, safe new place to relax after a long day at the beach at a reasonable price then keep reading about our Rincon PR Vacation Rental, 'The Surf Casita'. A short walk to all the best surfing beaches, several bars and restaurants, The Surf Casita is located in heart of Rincon’s Puntas area. The private home sits on the property with The Surf Break Main house but is completely detached with its own parking, Roof top deck and private entrance. Please Note: While many guests over the years walk to the beach we recommend a car especially for families with younger children as the hills in Rincon are fairly steep and the roads narrow.

Upon entering the home, you will find first class appointments with a generously sized kitchen with stainless full sized appliances and granite counter tops. The open floor plan has a nice sized family room with a Futon sofa and chair. Relax in the family room while watching the 40” flat screen TV. Bring your BlueRay disks to enjoy a movie during your stay. Hi Speed internet and Wifi router sit directly in the middle of the house to insure strong connectivity. There is a full bathroom, a bedroom with two twin beds and master bedroom with a king sized bed. High thread count linens and high end mattress are also here. Plus bath towels and generous beach towels are also in abundance.

Just outside the front door there is a spiral stair case which leads to a large private deck where you can watch fantastic Caribbean sunsets over the ocean (look for the 'green flash'.

Rincon is the Surfing Capital of the Caribbean and Puntas where the Vacation Rental is located is in the center of Rincon. ALL of the best surf breaks are walking distance ~.2 miles from the house. Scuba, snorkeling, jet skiing, para sailing, horseback riding, fishing sailing and whale watching are at your fingertips.

Rincon is also known for power and yes water outages, to insure your stay doesn't turn into a camping trip the house is backed up by a whole house generator and multiple water tanks which will automatically take over during the common outages.

Adventure and relaxation!

Location is amazing! The property is very well kept and clean. It was the perfect size for our family of four, but you won't spend much time there. So much to do outside and the rooftop is beyond awesome! We got the pleasure of meeting the owners, Craig and his wife were so welcoming and interesting to talk to. I can't wait to come back!

Fantastic accommodations, beautiful views, and an amazing city!

We stayed in The Surf Casita and absolutely loved it. The rooftop deck was so relaxing and provided some amazing views and incredibly sunsets. The place was immaculate and very comfortable. It is in excellent proximity to the bustling town and all the beautiful beaches. Craig was an excellent host and very responsive if I had a question. Would highly recommend the property, the town, and all it has to offer! We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back again and again!

Great Last Minute Addition to Our Vacation

When our initial “Airbnb” was a fail, we were able to book Craig’s last minute and boy, are we glad we were! The 2br casita was very clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked, everything worked as advertised and the view off the rooftop deck was awesome! Town of beach chairs/coolers in the main house’s closet and a washer and dryer there as well were also really nice to have. The only thing I’d change were all the people playing their music REALLY loud at night while passing the house in their cars, which is located right on a decently busy stretch of the street. If you are a light sleeper, it might bother you but, thankfully, our two little kids slept like the dead after playing in the Sandy Beach (a 5min drive from the house) surf for hours. So thankful we were able to find this place after a less-than-stellar beginning to our ultimately successful beach week!

The perfect place to stay in Rincon

We arrived after dark and the house was easy to find, that evening, prior to arrival, Craig was in touch with us asking if we had any questions and giving us tips for locating the house after dark. Throughout our stay, Craig was a wealth of information and extremely quick to address our needs and issues. We referenced the information that he provided about beaches and restaurants throughout our trip and we found it to be very accurate, making our trip so much better! The house has everything you need including a very comfortable king bed. Craig also has a closet full of beach chairs, coolers etc that made our beach days so much more comfortable. Craig is a fabulous homeowner to work with and we will definitely stay with him again when in Rincon. Now for Rincon, we were there for 10 days and only wish we could've stayed longer! With so many great beaches to choose from you can head to a different beach every day, or find your favorite and return everyday... your choice. The food option in town exceeded our expectations for your typical beach town, we had a few 4-star meals and many great tacos! The locals are extremely friendly and helpful and we felt very safe for the entirety of our trip. Suggestion: A car is a must as the roads are very narrow and some must-see locations are a bit far to walk. That being said GET THE SMALLEST VEHICLE POSSIBLE, the only thing I would change about our trip is to get a smaller car next time. Some parking areas are small and as I said the roads are narrow.

Just as advertised ... clean, comfortable, and great location

A great location and a a very clean and well-maintained property that instantly "feels like home". If using the owner's GPS directions, rather than continuing 1/4 mile down the road, look for the casita immediately as you turn onto his street ... you can't miss the blue casita (and adjoining bigger house) and the driveway is pretty much straight in after you make the turn. We were never able to get the cable TV working, despite the owner's help ... but with all there is to do around Rincon that wasn't a huge concern. Do be aware that the master bedroom is hard by the street, so can be a bit noisy. Not much traffic at night, though. A great place to listen to the coqui frogs after enjoying sunset from the wonderful top deck. The occasional VERY loud squawks from the neighbor's parrot across the street added a fun touch during the day.
