The Space:
Relax at this award winning beachfront rental, located on Steps Beach in the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve, only 30 minutes from the Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN) in Aguadilla or 2 hours from the Luiz Munoz airport (SJU) in San Juan.
Enjoy beautiful sunsets every evening, while dining outdoors on the back patio. World class snorkeling and scuba diving right in front of the house with turtles, exotic fish and the largest elkhorn coral reef in the Caribbean. Stunning views of Desecheo Island, whale sightings occur throughout the winter months and world class surfing can be had at Tres Palmas on Steps Beach. Take a short walk to other famous surf spots such as Dogmans, Maria's and Domes.
Fall asleep in the outdoor hammock, while listening to the waves crash. Enjoy organic herbs from R garden while barbequing with friends and family in the back yard. Head out to the many local restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you are looking for something to do other than surf, try scuba diving, sailing, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, yoga or a massage. There are many more activities within minutes of the house.
The house has air conditioning in both bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed. The 2nd bedroom has two double beds. The house comfortably sleeps four people, but can accommodate up to 6 people for an extra fee. There is one parking spot in the driveway on the right side.
In case of emergency, the house has over 1000 gallons of reserve water in the cistern in case of a water outage. The property has solar panels and Tesla batteries in case of a power outage. Starlink satellite wifi for uninterrupted internet connection.
Nightly minimums during holiday weeks
We are pet-friendly, but one dog only.
The owner lives upstairs and offers you privacy, but is friendly if you want to chat.
The washer and dryer are located in the casita in the front yard and shared with the owner.
There are security cameras pointed at the front and back doors for security.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the ground-floor rental unit, laundry room and yard.
The Neighborhood:
Safe and quiet neighborhood great for families. Walking distance to a number of restaurants, bars and activities. Located on a beach access. All beaches in Puerto Rico are public.
Getting Around:
A local taxi starts at $15 one way within town and needs to be scheduled ahead of time.
We do not have Uber or Lift.
Rental cars cost about $50/day.
We have all the major car rentals at the airports: Hudget, Avis, Hertz, Enterprise, Target and a few smaller rental agencies.
Walking is tedious, hot and difficult with many steep hills and sidewalks that are rarely maintained.
Other Things to Note:
You will be renting the 1st floor of the house. It is an apartment that has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There is an additional outdoor shower that is not enclosed but offers you the ability to rinse off after a day at the beach.
The 2nd and 3rd floor of the house is occupied by the owner. He works from home but also travels frequently for work. When he is occupying the upstairs, he’s quiet and unobtrusive, but always available to offer advice and suggestions if you need anything.
The ground floor of the house that is the rental space is very private and secluded. The back patio and backyard that faces the ocean is yours to enjoy.

We are located on the western point of the island.
We are 2.5 hours from the San Juan airport (SJU), 30 minutes from Aguadilla Airport (BQN), 20 minutes from the Mayaguez airport and the Ponce airport (PSE) is 1.5 hours away.
All the major airlines fly into San Juan.
Aguadilla has daily flights on United out of Newark. And from JFK, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale on Jetblue.
To avoid the drive from San Juan, Cape Air has multiple flights daily into the Mayaguez Airport (MAZ).
Interaction with Guests:
Allison, the property manager is available by phone, text or email. She lives in the neighborhood and can always come over if needed.
Leon, the owner, has limited interaction with the renters, allowing for privacy, but he's friendly and always up for chat.
