Friendly staff but…
We stayed here for a week to be near the hospital. The staff was very nice but the hotel itself was not great. Very slow elevators and one was out of order our entire stay. Dirty hall carpets including a dead roach there for days. Crumbs and dirt on tile floors in and around bar/atrium. I never saw anyone vacuum or sweep our entire stay. The hotel was very dark. Very low lighting in halls and atrium. Rooms very dark and low lighting. Housekeeping was terrible. We asked to get our bedsheets changed after several days and all they did was make the beds with the same dirty sheets. They never put the duvet inside the duvet cover, was just laid on top. The bathroom was so tiny we had to stand to the side of the toilet to close the door. Only one sink. Same in all rooms we were told. Leak in our shower and mold and rust on the door. The heater was not working and engineering came 3 times and it was never fixed. Either freezing cold or very warm in both rooms. Happy hour had complimentary wine and some liquors but they were out of white wine and had limited choices after our first night. The breakfast bar was not bad. Nice made to order omelet bar. Overall, the hotel is very dark and outdated and needs a major update. Not at all what we are accustomed to at Embassy Suites.
