My friends and I stay at The Breakers every Labor Day weekend. This has been our tradition for years. We have everything we need - clean rooms, friendly staff and awesome convenient location. We did miss the full hot breakfast this year though....

The only thing, the rug in the roomsmell like wet dog, but it was clean, very clean, the service was amazing, very friendly, its for everyone to enjoy (for everyone if u know qhat mean)

This certainly is a hotel! And that's about it -- a place to sleep and keep your stuff. The walkability is perfect, the beds are not very comfortable, but that's tolerable. The house keeping staff were great, polite and welcoming. But whoever works the front desk is one of the worst property managers I've ever dealt with. We went to her to report that a fellow guests sunroof on their vehicle was open and that they didn't have a hang tag visible as everyone else did. Instead of telling us she would look into it or try to find the owner, she scowled at us and said, "That's not my job. That's not my concern. Who cares if their sunroof is open?" If we had left our sunroof open, we'd have loved it if someone had alerted management to that for us. It was just a really vile interaction and it soured our experience here. We won't be staying here again next year after this. Everything else I could live with, but I won't tolerate that negativity and uncaring attitude. That's grim.

All you need at an affordable price.

Nothing fancy but everything one needs is supplied at a good price. Especially appreciated instant hot water! Rides to the beach, friendly people. The morning breakfast could be improved with hot food offering.

Not coming back next year

This year breakfast was awful—they had prepackaged muffins, bagels, cereal, no hot food. You had to ask staff to get yogurt from the back room if you wanted them. Last year they had a limited selection of hot food at least. The air conditioning was extremely loud. Only slept about 3-4 hours the first night because it kept waking me up. After that night, I had to use ear plugs to sleep.

Desperate need of updated rooms and decor

The hotel rooms are very out dated and are in dire need of some more modern furniture and decor. The location is good and a couole of blocks to the main street with shops and restaurants. It is a bit longer walk to the beach and boardwalk especially when carrying beach chairs, umbrella etc. The breakfast room was nice and clean, however full of carbs and qucik grabs. Protein and hot food would be nice. The parking is very difficult and tight for an SUV. A few times we opted to pay for parking on the street with no spots in the lot available for larger vehicles.
