Absolute gem
This place is a right gem, excellent customer service from every person I spoke to including receptionists, bar/service staff and the man at the pool. The reception and restaurant is beautifully theamed as a big log cabin, I would have sat in there all night. Plently of outdoor seating too by the lake. We stayed in a little lodge in the woodland area. It was cosy and comfortable with a view of just tress outside (which I enjoyed). We enjoyed the use of pool and hot tubs in the morning included in the proce of our stay. Breakfast was delicious! There is also nice walks in the area which I did not get to do but hopefully will when I return.

Its a beautiful setting. Sadly the wooden lodges where we stayed were very dated. TV had such bad reception it was impossible to watch. Room was very small. Comfy bed but only a standard double bed. Overall quite tatty outside and in. At £170 per night the place isn't worth the money. Breakfast was nice and the lodges were quiet. Very poor wifi not what i expected paying that price.

Disappointing family stay
Booked a family room, room had been given away and we were put in 2 doubles. Seems that wedding guests were more important to service. Young duty manager did his best to resolve with what was available but had been left in that position by the earlier shift. Also can’t use any of the facilities with children outside of 7am to 10am which overlaps the breakfast time. Rooms are functional but dated, not the stay we had envisioned or expected. We won’t be returning in a hurry!

Lovely and helpful staff. Beautiful setting, yet near the airport. Nice restaurant for dining. Spa services available though we were not there long enough to avail ourselves of that resource.

Lovely and quiet. From the outside it was very well furnished but in the hotel itself was about dated in the rooms from the bath, furniture and fittings. Tv signal was not that great. Use of the gym was ok. And the jacuzzi too.

Positives Staff on check in was friendly and helpful Lovely spacious lodge in quiet area with lovely hot tub. All facilities were in good working order. Negatives Smell of damp on entering property that we managed to mask with perfume but definately needs sorting as was off putting when eating. Lodge could do with some soft furnishings such as cushions, plants to make the feel more homely. Also no wifi which some may require and not able to get wifi on phone. Hot tub not private as almost road side

We had a double room in the main part of the hotel. Our daughter stayed at the same time and booked at the same time. Our room was very small and in need of an overhaul. It would have been fine overnight but we booked 2 nights so became a little cramped. We had to shuffle between the bed and the radiator panel to access the ensuite and door to the wardrobe. We are quite slim as a couple. In comparison our daughter's room was in the chalets and much roomier and modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the setting is very conveniently situated to travel to Otley, Harrogate and Leeds. Close proximity to the Royalty pub which has fantastic views and a warm welcome. Overall, the accommodation was a little disappointing but the setting and staff were lovely.
