Beautiful building but in need of some TLC The room had some peeling decoration and the bath panelling was loose in places Bed was quite comfortable and I slept well Reception was always manned and had to wait twice for assistance

A nice overnight stay...

There is so much to like about this beautiful old hotel building, from the lobby, magnificent Churchill dining room, and spacious bedroom.Everything was clean and comfortable, and we will definitely stay again, but it is a shame that the bedroom was lacking a bit of TLC and was in need of refurbishment. We had an executive double which must of been a reference to the space rather than the decor. I am surprised that being in the centre of Harrogate, the room did not include bottled water!

A lively historic hotel. We were only disappointed with the hard mattress on our bed but, as ee left, we were told that if staying again just ask for an additional mattress so that sounds good. The sofa bed could also do with a new mattress. Otherwise, great staff, food and room sizes.

Staff were all helpful and friendly. Central location was excellent. Definitely worth paying to park at the hotel, as you get an allocated space. Superb breakfast. Hotel has retained original features which are great and reflect the age of the hotel. Rooms could benefit from a refurbishment as tired and have very squeaky floor boards.

The Crown Hotel was perfect the staff couldn't be more helpful, our room was great although those above us were a tad noisy during the night. We had a lovely evening meal and a super breakfast

Could be better.

No net curtains in room meant you either closed the blackout curtains or the room’s opposite could see right in. Bathroom had a net curtain that was 6 inches too short so if the window was open (no extractor) people opposite could see you sitting on the toilet. No plugs on either side of the bed. Squeaky floorboards upstairs and on corridors kept us awake. Had I seen the white stain on the side of the bed before sleeping, I would have asked for another room. On checkout I was called back and told I hadn’t paid for parking! It wasn’t until I provided the receipt they accepted the fact that I had indeed paid! All in all, I was relieved to leave.
