wonderful hotel with very friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. the beds are very comfortable and breakfast a nice touch. we didn't have much of a view but love the 'old world' charm of the building.

Great location -- a short walk to the train station and to restaurants, shops and galleries and yet it's in a quiet area away from the tourist chaos. Staff was very helpful. The room was nice, the bed comfy, shower good. You can open the window! The delivered continental breakfast was fun to receive each morning. Coffee machine in the room is a nice touch.

Hotel des Couterllier is located nearby high traffic tourist areas, but comfortably away from the high traffic. It is easy to walk to restaurants, art galleries, and shopping, but the hotel itself is quiet. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We quite enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was in a good location, but I would not stay here again for the following reasons: a roach was in our breakfast bag with the croissants in the morning, we had to ask for the bed to be changed because hair was on the sheets, luggage has to be hauled up stairs in the lobby before you can get to an elevator, and parking is in a separate lot across the street.

Great location, clean soundproof rooms and quaint breakfasts. We really enjoyed the proximity to Petit-Champlain and the waterfront. The Belley Tavern next door was very convenient for refreshments after a day of sightseeing.
