Well property was being worked on quite a bit around the lobby, around the restaurants, and quite a few places other than that all was good. Just super loud. I love how friendly the staff at el patron restaurant and our housekeeper were to us. Big excellent rating given to Sra. de la mora (housekeeper) she was super good in cleaning our two bedroom suite. The waiters Ernesto, Eduardo and Martin at el patron restaurant should receive high performance evaluations for their supreme service to our family. They always were so attentive and made sure we were well taken care of at the restaurant. My son needed a special smoothie made with my supplied protein and they made it very well. Areas of need: COMMUNICATION from the concierge staff. We were never informed of the special events like the Mexican fiesta nor such events Also the restaurants close down for dinner and you are never informed of the closures. We had to do room service twice for dinner. Facilities: the elevators broke down twice and we had no choice but to go up five flights of stairs to our fifth floor suite. No AC in the elevators. Food was decent but could be improved. Don’t take drinks from the swimming pool bar, they are very watered down

The check-in process was the worst part of our experience. We arrived around 4pm and got in line, expecting someone to help us. The front desk staff member was assisting another guest, but once he finished, he walked away without saying a word and never came back. There was no communication at all.

The property is beautiful and big, but also not so big that you don't feel comfortable letting the kids go down to the pool. My 10 yr olds met us at breakfast and by the pool and it felt very safe. The cleaning staff was very efficient. Everyday they cleaned and had a "night service" in case the room needs more towels or a "refresher" The all inclusive food is just that, all inclusive. There are a couple of items on a couple of the restaurant menus that are "premium" and aren't included. There is a timing issue, but if you plan accordingly you should be fine. Everyday for about an hr all the restaurants close to "switch over" from pool service to dining service. The day we arrived the kids had just gotten into the pool but they were so hungry from traveling all day, we tried to get them something to eat but everything was closed and they won't seat you in a bathing suit. So it was really hard and inconvenient. But we planned accordingly for the rest of our stay. The food is good. Some items are better than others but still very good. And there's variety. Not going to lie, the facility is a little outdated. Slow elevators, water running out after 2 ppl shower, no netflix on the tvs. But it's not a deal breaker. We'd definitely come back. The kids club is for 4 yrs and older, but they won't let parents stay and play with the kids. I didn’t want to leave my kids, but besides the pool there's nothing else for them to do. I wish i could've used the play area.

Going to Villa Del Palmar Flamingos feels like going "home" and seeing all of your favorite people. Every employee from bellstand and front desk to housekeeping and wait staff are exemplary. My personal favorite is Augustin. He works the beach area and does everything to make beach days the best days. He even remembered me and my husband's names from our trip there last Christmas. In addition to the people, the property is perfect. It is immaculately landscaped, clean, calm, and has everything I needed for a perfect week. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I can't wait to go back myself!
