Very friendly staff who do a bang up job keeping the place clean and the guests happy. I read the reviews and was reluctant to come but the place was decent. I stayed in a king suite on the mountain side. One draw back was the sofa bed...kinda had to go.

Pros: Great overall stay with Canto Del Sol. The whole property was clean and service was amazing. The food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was amazing especially that green drink they serve in the morning was delicious. The resort was about 10 minutes away from the Romantic zone. There were many stores and places to eat around the resort if you wanted to explore the city. Con: The only con I can think of is the walls felt thin as I could hear the conversation of the people next door.

This resort was picked based off the stars it had and those stars are very outdated! The rooms are dirty, the food choice and quality is very poor, we knew we picked a 4 star but this resort at max a 2. It was actually so bad that we left and stayed somewhere else out of pocket. Roaches in our room, birds flying in the desert cabinet, fruit flies all over the fruit/veg in the buffet area. Black mold in the bathroom, only 1 a la cart for every 2 nights spent, no hotel maps to show you around. Overall, this is a badly managed hotel that seems to be more used by locals than tourists.

Love the mountain side but wish the bar opened longer hours on thst side. Great pool, ceviche restaurant was delicious and fresh. This is my 2nd time at this resort and would recommend it. Buffet isnt the greatest but lots of options. Love the VIP option we got with expedia we got unlimited al la cartes and late check out. Very friendly and helpful staff! Love this resort

our visit was ok first our room key would never work management just argued that we did not know what to do our room was pathetic not even a coffee maker i got very ill phonedthe front ask for the doctor they said i need 175 american i said shove it i bought a lot of pain killers tili get home and once you check out they say get out i couldn't believe how we r cheated beware not the best

Quaint hotel with some quirks, but they grow on you. Buffet wasn’t great, but you could always find something to eat and the a la carte dinners were good.

The grounds were nice and a large property since combined with the Villas Vallarta. Some limited lunch options but the speciality restaurants for dinners were nice. We only got 3 specialty dinners for our 6 day stay. The three pools were nice and access to the beach was very convenient. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. Overall a simple resort with everything you need with not very much for luxury.

It is older, but they are fixing it up nicely. The food was good and staff very pleased to help when needed. The wifi in our room was a little weak but excellent in main areas. We'd come again!
