alll staff were very pleasant to deal with. some went out of their way to help. area very safe, walked around the main street at odd hours with no problem. room was spacious for family of 6,very clean with patio. but it needs some upgrades as it looks little rundown. line up for food were long and sometimes run out of food. no urgency from the front desk, asked shower to be repaired and water restocked, had to call couple of times. also at beach small vendors constantly asking to buy thier stuff

The room was not great at all. Lumpy pillows, flush got stuck every time we flushed. All faucets were so worn out, water pressure was not good at all. Room service ladies did a good job cleaning whatever they could. Asked for soap and they never brought any, had to walk to the front desk for anything we needed. Food: the buffet is just terrible. the food is not edible. Long long lines to eat. And the specialty restaurants are a joke. They don't get you a spot to eat there unless u eat at odd times, yet the restaurants always seem empty. When asked they said, we can only accomodate so many at a time. We ate at the Oriental restaurant 3 days into our stay and the sushi was nice, the entrees were like 6 bites of food. and when we wanted to get more food, the servers were not interested in bringing out more food. Literally took us 30 minutes to get someone's attention - asked 3 different servers. Still left tops because, that the polite thing to do. The drinks are like every resort, watered down. The shows and activities are all in Spanish, barely any English spoken. The guests were primarily Spanish speaking so that probably why but honestly, it was hard to enjoy when you don't understand much other than hand gestures. Worst is the front desk, rude staff - unaccommodating and pretend to not understand English. They were gesturing to each other and speaking in Spanish which my son understood a bit. Avoid this place and spend a bit more for quality,

Worst ever place and is not worth Wast money, pool very dirty and room smell bad We have to wait 6 hours and after requesting towel finally got it after call 5 times , food horrible and no option for vegetarian or seafood.

The hotel is outdated and poorly maintained. General aspect is vintage at best while service, food and drinks are average at best. Rooms are smelly and moldy. The curtains were stained and greasy, not even all bulb lights were working and we don’t even have a fridge bar in the room. The pillows smell bitterly. Staff is rude with few exceptions. Being neutral and honest, you just don’t get the value you paid for.

The housekeepers done great job, some bartenders was not friendly. The bell guy Raul was great with helping with room service etc. The snack bar served bite size pizza that was cold, location of hotel is good though.

Food was gross, “food will be eaten at own risk” on the menus. There’s a limit on reservations at restaurants other than that it’s just the buffet which was disgusting. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful from day one.

Close to the Malecon about a 30 minutes walk and sidewalks are wide. Lots of shops and massage parlors nearby. The staff is friendly and food was great. I will definitely come back and stay here.

Very efficiently run,friendly staff, a complex group of buildings and facilities .get a map from the front desk.some minor logistical issues but addressed quickly,decent beach,centrally located with easy local bus access north to marinas and walmart or south to the malecon direct, or through a tunnel the longer way. A positive experience for couples or groups overall,as evidenced by the preponderance of mexican families.

First time bringing my two step kids with us and found this resort to be a great first/ budget option for an all inclusive for a family. Loved the two resorts attached by bridge, made it feel very big and less busy. Food was good at buffet, id say average since ive stayed in fanicer more expensive places but for the price i would say its good. Japanese restruant was delicious we wish we had gone back there for more sushi. The surf and turf resturant was good, more the ambiance right over looking the ocean made it a 5 star along with the amazing staff. Bartenders were all mostly amazing except one who looked disgusted when i put some change in the tip jar and even looked in after which made we feel weird since i had tipped alot but whatever. Larger bartender was 10 stars and id go back just to say hello. Keep expectations reasonable and look for a good deal bwfore bookong and irs wprth the money! Mountain room had slight moldy amell but we just ignored it bevaysw ww were there for a vacation. Happy travels!

We stayed at Canto Del Sol in a 2-bedroom luxury suite for the second year in a row. Huge shoutout goes to buffet servers Miguel and Jesus, pool server Gladis, omelette maker Monica and concierge Leonel. Great family resort, consistent food throughout. Great location, close to downtown and the airport. Only complaints this year were the terrible wifi and hard beds but we will return with our family again.

Desde el inicio el cobro muy alto, no concuerda el costo de la aplicacion con el del establecimiento, la recepcionista solo cobra y te hace llenar y listo nisiquiera te pregunta o te hace menciones de pago, la comida falta de sabor el ultimo dia de desayuno mejoro un poco, la limpieza por parte de camarista y la chica de la alberca todo muy bien pero lo demas deja mucho que desear
