Second try good

First room of our reservation had a terrible musty smell and was dark and not well furnished. The desk clerk was very helpful and changed us to another room that was much better. It was comfortable and roomy.

Basically an old motel with hard wood. Run down and if you believe the celebrity gimmick, then it’s seen better days. If you have a pet you must stay on the bottom floor with sliding glass doors that don’t lock. We changed rooms 3 times because we wanted one that at least had the bar at the bottom for security. Only reason we booked was for the pool tables, which were closed BEFORE 9PM on a FRIDAY. Didn’t check out the bar but that looked closed as well. Breakfast looked terrible so we didn’t partake. Nobody wanted to be working there.

the only decent part of our stay was the ladies at the front desk. The room was dirty, the tv didnt work, the paint in the bathroom sink was chipping. The shower grout was disgustingly dirty. There was dead spiders in the bathrooms. The next morning we came out to 5 cop cars in the parking lot. If it wasnt for the fact every where else was booked we would have left.

Greeting was great. Parking lot was trashy. People set up chairs in parking lot for morning coffee… on way of traffic 7-8 people. No hot water for shower. Called the desk twice and they said just keep running it. Still cold water. Cold showers are yuck. Talked to owner and he argued that there was hot water. He was not in room. TV did not turn on. The things we want when we travel: hot shower, comfy bed and TV. Do not recommend this hotel.

Refresh needed, breakfast unacceptable

The property is bady in need of a refresh. It looks like one might have been done in the last few years, but the qualify of workmaship was poor, partiuclarly the paint jobs on the doors (hinges had paint on them, irregular paint texture on the doors exterior where a label was removed). The marketing value associated with the famous people who've stayed there was diminished by the cheap wooden signs posted on the doors. I'd recomend a more elegant sign. The rock/fossil display in the lobby was interesting but, agiain, it's marketing value was diminished by the quality of the printed descriptions. The paper on which the descriptions are printed need to be replaced with something of higher quality to reflect the quality of the experience one would want to associate with the motel. Also, we were dumbfounded that we were unable to get back into the building from the courtyard (all doors were locked). We had to knock loundly on multipleexterior doors to get the attention of a guest inside the hotel so we could re-enter the main strucutre. Receptionists were friendly and helpful. The breakfast offering literally was the worst we've experienced in our travels. The second morning, we elected to go out for breakfast. Good luck. I hope the reinvestment associated with my suggestions generates a valuable return on investment.

The two front desk ladies we spoke to were nice. Basically everything else however was not. We checked in around 7:30pm, and went up to our room, only after being greeted by a dirty tissue on the staircase, and a horribly musty smell. When we got to our room, we noticed how unbearably hot it was. The AC was completely off and it was over 80° in there. There was hairs all over our bathroom floor, a few in our tub, and what looked to be two used tissues in the bathroom trash can. There were gross brownish/green stains on the chair in the room, and a couple hairs on our beds. While I was picking hairs of our beds, my four year old pointed out some weird dripping brownish stains on the wall to me. Not to mention the visible crumbs on the carpet and random stains all over the place. We ended up bringing all of our bags back to the car and only coming in with our purses and a change of clothes because we had been traveling for over 6 hours and were too exhausted to make a fuss about anything or find a new hotel. We ended up going to Walmart to let the room cool off and came back and just went right to bed. When we woke up, the fridge (which we never touched because the only food we brought in was immediately eaten), had leaked onto the front of the tv stand it sits on, and onto the carpet. While checking out, I let the front desk know that our room was pretty dirty and she was very sweet, apologized and said that they’ve been getting lots of complaints on housekeeping lately…

The hotel is rundown refrigerator doesn’t didn’t work. Telephone didn’t work. There was mold all over the bathroom ceiling. The tub had not been cleaned. Couldn’t get the TV to work at first had to have some very long drawn out directions from the front desk eventually got it to work will not ever stay at this hotel again and advise other people not to as well

My room was off the pool area, and for a good part of the evening there was a lot of noise going on. The room itself was fine, with a very comfortable bed. I would stay here again.

Best hotel in Canyon City

We did not stay where we originally booked because the hotel was filthy. We drove around looking at 3 other hotels and they were just as bad, if not worse. Thankfully we came upon Quality Inn and this is where we stayed. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and accommodating. The hotel lobby was clean, the rooms were renovated and very clean. We were extremely comfortable the two nights we stayed. Than you!

The staff were great! The furniture damaged. The sliding door locks were broken, as well as the screen. The mattresses were lumpy. Too close to the noisey highway. I had to go buy earplugs. We were very disappointed that the pool was shut down. That is the main reason I chose this place. This motel doesn't even compare to the website pictures. Misleading! I took pictures of room 118, just in case they try to charge me for damages. Would only recommend this place to truckers.
