The room was gorgeous!The staff was kind. I love the drinks and snacks in the evenings and the Christmas tree was beautiful. They also have a valet for a small price. The pool is a beautiful salt water pool and the hot tub was wonderful as well. I will definitely book a room here again.

Property needs to be cleaned. Especially elevator doors and room curtains. I did not have good nights sleep because my neighbors on the first night were arguing and swearing at 3 am. Next morning around 3 am were really loud and running on the hallway. Not the hotel’s fault but I was with a child so had to be really cautious and was awake. :-(

Pros: beautiful lobby, friendly accommodating staff, awesome pool and amenities, comfy beds, excellent walkable location. They put in an arcade too with lots of cool pinball machines! Cons: rooms are rundown and not nearly as clean as the lobby/hallways/public areas.There is dust and dirt built up on baseboards, light switches, and light fixtures; cracks, tape, and fingerprints all over the plastic that covers the windows, marks and dirt on the door and walls, and I could see smears on the bathroom floor tile. It’s a weird contrast to the lobby/gym/arcade, which is sparkling clean. I even saw someone mopping the tile OUTSIDE the front door when we left. They need to bring that mop to the rooms.

Wonderful pool and facilities. Beautiful historic building, well maintained. We upgraded and added an extra night. Only deficit is downtown Portland has gotten a little rough shod compared to 20 years ago and the breakfast could be better quality.
