Nice hotel, good facilities.

Nice hotel with good facilities. Perfect location to be able to walk to the Main Street and all the shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the marina (where all reef/boating trips leave from) so no need for shuttles. Undercover parking for hire cars if you have one and easy to drive to other tourist attractions. Only recommendation would be to supply a box of tissues and umbrellas for the duration of your stay. During our stay it rained quite a bit and to have an umbrella to use if needed would’ve been nice

Very disappointing

Location: Perfect location for shopping , bars, restaurants and all sea activities.
Unfortunately we had a privately owned apartment (47B) of which Hibicus staff have no control over, thus cleanliness was of a poor standard , floors in particular had not been cleaned thoroughly and I am not convinced that it was clean bedding as on retiring to bed on the first night there was a pubic hair on the bottom sheet!! As it is a private rental essential toiletries/toilet paper and items such as tea and coffee were not replenished and i was told in no uncertain terms to " buy my own once the basics were used". Hibiscus staff were kind enough to help us out with the above even though it wasn't their responsibility, so to them, Thank You.

Lovely gardens and close to all facilities

My granddaughter and I have a wonderful stay at Hibiscus Gardens which has a very relaxing Balinese feel to it and lovely pool area to match

Privately Owned Apartment - Not Run By Main Hotel

When my husband and I went to check into our apartment, we were advised that Seascape Holidays had contact me via email with all of the check in details and that this apartment was run separately from the actual Hibiscus Resort and Spa. The lady on reception stated in no uncertain terms that 'we are not responsible for any maintenance in the apartment'. That raised alarm bells. We proceeded up to the room and found that the room hadn't been cleaned very well - there was a layer of dust on the slats on the bathroom door. Plus there was no towel rail and this was shoved in the cupboard and as soon as my husband went to pull down the blind so that the neighbours couldn't see straight in - the blind fell to the floor and wouldn't roll back up. There was also an old rusty clothes horse out not the balcony that clearly was rubbish but wasn't thrown away. Ended up calling the office of Seascape Holidays, telling of our situation to the owner who kindly offered an alternative but we chose to find alternative accommodation.

Tropical feel and walking distance to everything!

We love Port Douglas and have stayed at this resort 3 times. The tropical feel, two pools and location makes it the best place to stay. We will stay again - hopefully in 2016!
