Excellent location! Only a 5-minute walk to the beach and the food trucks along the shore. Good breakfast served in an air-conditioned room. I didn’t like that housekeeping came quite late-sometimes only in the afternoon. And that beach towels couldn’t be exchanged at the pool.

We enjoyed our stay at The Charm Resort Beach. The resort itself is lovely, with great facilities including a well-equipped gym, relaxing sauna, and a stunning rooftop infinity pool overlooking the beach. Our room was modern, clean, and just a short walk from the beach, shops, and plenty of dining options. The front desk staff were excellent — always friendly and quick to help whenever we had a question or needed assistance. That said, our stay had a few hiccups. On the first day, there was a planned power outage, and guests were advised to be away from the resort between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. We made the most of it by exploring and shopping, but it wasn’t the best way to start the holiday. The following morning, an unexpected power outage occurred due to a fault at the resort’s entrance, again leaving rooms and facilities unusable for several hours. Housekeeping could also be more proactive — while they did a great job when asked, items like towels and consumables weren’t replenished automatically during our stay. Once we requested service, though, the team responded quickly and did an excellent job. Despite the interruptions, we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience overall. The Family Suite is especially good value — spacious and ideal for families looking to stay close to the action while still enjoying resort-style comfort.

was extremely disappointed with my stay at this property, as the conditions were completely unacceptable and far below the standards advertised. Even after being placed in what was described as the “best room,” the space was dirty and had a serious bug issue. I encountered a spider, a dead roach, and constant mosquitoes, which made it impossible to feel comfortable or safe enough to sleep. I even switched to a pool view room hoping for a better experience, but the pool itself was in terrible condition — filled with bugs and appearing as though it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. This clearly showed that the property is not being maintained to reasonable standards. The overall atmosphere felt more like a neglected motel than a hotel. The conditions were so unbearable that I checked out early and chose not to request a refund, simply because I could not remain there any longer. I cannot recommend this property, and I strongly urge future travelers to be aware of the issues before booking.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival and I was able to check in slightly earlier than the standard 3pm time. The room was on the second floor, which was accessible by a small staircase or the lift (which was further down the hall). The room was incredibly spacious with a balcony, table and two chairs. It also had a small clothes line attached to the outside wall, which was handy for drying clothes. The bathroom, while tired and needing a bit of an upgrade, was large with a huge, deep bath and double-sized shower. Towels were replaced daily. The room had two comfortable beds and a number of pillow options to choose from. The roof top pool is what makes the hotel. With brilliant views over the main beach in Patong, plenty of lounge chairs and a swim up pool bar, it was a great place to relax and enjoy a sunset. The breakfast was basic but plentiful. The egg station was a highlight. Overall, the hotel was a great, affordable option that's close proximity to shopping, food markets, the beach, and of course Bangla Rd. It was a fantastic place to stay as a solo traveller, with other like-minded people staying at the same time. The travel and tour desk was great and knowledgeable, and you couldn't fault the staff - they truly made the hotel a special place.

The room was spacious, there was a single and a queen size bed ( the big bed had a bit of a dip in it where most people would recline to watch tv (me too), so for sleeping I moved to the middle of the bed - that was my only quibble sitting the week I was there. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the woman who made up my room (even though I'm not a tipper I did this time). Charm Resort is a great location- over the road from the beach and a short walk to shops and eating places. If you need a bike (scooter) to get around the island on you could try MrJack who is such a nice bloke and his missus makes a great coffee contact them on +66890443035
