Disliked: Cleanliness
We had high hopes for our stay given the convenient location near the Scottsdale Kierland area, but unfortunately, the property did not live up to the listing and photos. While there were some positives, the lack of maintenance and cleanliness issues made for a frustrating experience.The Downsides:• Safety & Cleanliness: Upon check-in, the house was not clean. Most alarmingly, there was broken glass left in the dishwasher, and we found trash from the previous guests. The couches were visibly dirty, and many of the kitchen dishes and utensils had to be rewashed before use. The sliding glass door didn’t open. • Climate Control: The AC is extremely inconsistent. The temperature on one side of the house never dropped below 77F, making bedrooms 3, 4, and 5 uncomfortably hot. We were unable to sleep well because of the heat.• Pool Heating: We paid extra to have the pool heated, but it was a waste of money. The water never reached 73F (verified by an Apple Watch).• Broken Amenities: We were looking forward to watching a movie in the casita, but the projector didn’t work.The Upsides:• On a positive note, the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms also had great water pressure and consistent hot water.• The location is excellent for accessing Kierland, and there was plenty of parking available.Overall, this home has great potential, but it feels neglected. Until the cleaning service is improved and the AC/pool heater are serviced, I do not recommend staying here.
