Quick Stay

I booked this hotel as we were attending an event at The Mann. The hotel was fairly close and had generally positive reviews. We arrived and checked in around 4:30. We got to our room and noticed it was very dirty. The room looked like it had not been dusted in years. We looked at our bed 3 of our pillows had stains all over them and looked like they had not been washed. We removed our comforter which had been wrapped in a sheet on both sides. The comforter had stains all over it. We also found hair on the wall in the bathroom and the shower was not cleaned properly. I went downstairs and the gentleman at the front desk offered us another room. We had to move all our stuff to another room. Which also was very dusty and we found another hair in the shower that had not been cleaned. At this point we needed to be somewhere and had to go. I would spend your money somewhere else! The hotel is outdated and the housekeeping staff doesn’t do a good job at all!

From start to finish, we had an exceptional experience at the Inn at Penn. Unexpectedly, we needed to arrive a day early to Philadelphia a day before our scheduled visit. The hotel manager, Angela, was very helpful and kind as she assisted us in this process. Angela was a pleasure to work with and she helped us upgrade to a lovely room for the special occasion of our wedding anniversary. She even sent up a special gift on behalf of the hotel! We were overjoyed with our experience at this clean, spacious and conveniently located hotel. The staff was unbelievably kind and resourceful and we will most certainly be staying at this hotel again when we are in the Philadelphia area.

We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. It’s in a fabulous area between UPenn and Drexel. We walked from the hotel to the museums and then back via the city center. We would definitely stay here again!!

Allow me to start off that this was my first and last stay with the Hilton. I always take a black light with me to ALL hotels I stay in. There was a film on the toilet seat lid, you could see the previous persons finger marks from putting the lid down. Dink wasn’t clean. The only thing clean in that bathroom was the tub and some of the floor. Thankfully we were only there for one night. In the morning when I checked out the woman that I was working with was rude and refused to answer my question. I clearly misheard the first women on the day of check in that the $50 I was paying was for a “security deposit” when I got my receipt for for valet and the early check-in, I didn’t see said charge and was confused. I asked her what it was and to if she could explain. I was told “is all on that receipt” I said “no it’s not and that’s why I’m so confused” she proceeded to look at me like I was absolutely insane and then repeated herself. $600 for a one night stay at this hotel to for someone to be ignorant and not do their job. The first two times I asked I not rude or ignorant, not until the third time when she literally kept repeating that it was all on the receipt. Never again. I’ll still with the Marriott Bonvoy, better prices, better rooms, better staff, and better price.

From the moment I arrived at The Inn at Penn, I felt genuinely welcomed. Maxx at the front desk was incredibly helpful—they made check-in smooth and went out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed. As a solo traveler, feeling safe and secure means everything, and this Hilton location delivered. The staff was friendly and attentive, even helping me find my room when I got a bit turned around. It was just a one-night stay, but the warmth and professionalism I experienced made a lasting impression. Thank you to the whole team!
