This was my third stay at Pier Blue. Although it is an older property and could use a thorough update, I keep coming back for the location, the cleanliness and the reasonable rates. I must say, though, that there was one dirty hand towel on the shower curtain rod left from the previous guest. It was hidden by the shower curtain so I understand how it was overlooked. It was gross, though.

What a cute/clean/comfortable stay and at an amazing price! Only a 5 or less minute drive to the beaches. Plenty of dining options around. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived late at night and the staff were so very friendly and accommodating. We had a small issue in our room and the staff responded immediately and so graciously to resolve it. We have stayed here before and have always enjoyed our stay.

When you drive up this property doesn't look the best. A little run down (drab) looking. The front office is old school with a paper check-in form. Although a bit dated check-in was good. The service desk agent was nice and greeted me by name. He offered a bottle of water for my dog and I. We were given one room and when I went to the room ir was wide open. This made me feel a uncomfortable as it was getting dark and bugs. I asked the front desk for a different room. I got a new room right away. The room itself was large and clean. It was a corner room. The first night was great. The second night I had a neighbor upstairs and you could hear everything. They did not stop moving around the room from the moment they checked-in to their check-out. They left several times throughout the night too. I mentioned this at the desk. The agent was nice and understanding. He offered to refund the pet fee. It was nice of the hotel to offer this as I did not get any sleep and it was hard to focus on work. Overall this was not a bad stay. The room was comfortable and clean.

Are You Kidding?

Overall, this was a very dated hotel. The old chairs in the lobby were very dirty. There was a dead bug on the floor in our room. There was a towel from a prior guest hanging on the back of the door. It felt like a dorm room. The sheets were permanently stained. We will not be staying there again. Very disappointed.

A little gem.

The hotel is lovely. By their own admission the owners have a notice saying excuse us whilst we renovate. The lodge was fine, we didn’t really notice it wanted much done. The car park was plenty, the room was spacious and comfy. Great views out the back. Convenient for the area, we really liked it.
