Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
Temperature of the hotel was too hot; made it difficult to asleep. Had to turn the air-con unit off, as its min temp was 20°C.
Decor was tired with lots of chips to the paint work. Chipped marble entrance step was replaced whilst we were staying, so some effort is being made to improve appearances. Need to focus on rooms and corridors.
Spa facilities was sparse - one sauna in the gym, ground floor; one hot tub on the rooftop, 8th floor. Made logistics of enjoying them tricky. No complementary robes provided, had to chance it in a towel. Another hot tub was offered at a cost, no exemption for guests staying at the hotel. Treated as if we were walking in off the street. Stayed at spa hotels where guests had full access to facilities but treatments were extra, this was not the case.
Good location to walk to Old Town (20 mins) and along the front.
