This hotel is conveniently located and feels safe. It’s a place to rest your head at night, but that’s about it. No amenities, nothing to really want to make you spend any amount of time at the hotel. They don’t provide any toiletry items - shampoo, condition, soap - so if you’re going here, make sure to bring your own.

The Mercure hotel is immediately on the seafront and close to both Central Nice and the amazing Old Town. An easy 20 minute drive from the airport. Double check that your transfer driver takes you to the right one, ours didn't! The hotel is clean and well maintained, rooms are well appointed with en suite and walk in shower. WARNING - We booked a room with a balcony there are balconies but not wide enough to sit out on safely and no patio furniture. Breakfast is very good with some typical European Breakfast dishes such as roast potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli? But great selection of cereals, cold meats and cheese, and cook your own eggs facility. The one down side is no sitting out areas, no facilities, no bar facilities, but you walk out straight to bars and restaurants. The location is its big selling point - would definitely consider a return visit

Hotel is in a perfect location. Not exactly a luxury hotel but nice enough for what it's intended for, a place to sleep. It could use some cosmetics and updated but as mentioned before, for me it's a place to sleep. The rate does not seem like a good value however, compared to other hotels in the area it was on par. I would probably stay there again.

Location, staff, catering all excellent. Quality of room was so bad plaster and pain peeling off cieling snd really shoddy finish over old paint work. Requires a whole renovation to get up to date. If this was an old period property this might be understandable and might even add to the charm, but its not its a modern building with no character so for it to be so out of shape was a total shock and big disappointment. Rarely will i write a poor review especially after staff and service was excellent but its only right that others know ehat they are yo expect.

Perfect location and the staff was very helpful. Bed was confortable and the room was so spacious. The cleanliness of the room was great but there was a bit of mildew in the tub (although this is typical of hot and humid locations) so it wasn’t a huge concern. Besides that the bathroom was very clean. Again, the bed was very confortable and the view + balcony was amazing. The location is close to a bus stop if you are taking public transportation from the airport and again the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Disappointing stay at the Mercure. Room photos were deceptive - we booked a privilege, ocean view, garden. It promises a balcony - there was no balcony you can sit on or even really move around on due to two sets of double glazing. The balcony is effectively about 15 inches wide. Bathroom was good, pillows awful, decoration depressing. The public areas are tired including the foyer, lifts etc. The immediate surroundings are shabby. There were regularly homeless people by the doors and opposite, litter and discarded drinks all down the street. To cap it off, there were a series of concerts in an adjoining park on all 3 nights. The bass literally shook the windows of the room (despite two sets of glazing) and went on each night until just after midnight. I wouldn’t stay here again, or recommend it - it’s close to the beach and walkable to town but that’s about it. They don’t have to try too hard, so they don’t.

I reserved a premium room and I got a nasty smelly room instead and I went to the receptionists about it, they said that they were out of those rooms and it is first come, first serve thingy so I asked for my money back and they said to contact Expedia. Beside the location , you can find a better facility for the same amount of money. Just try something different else.
