We booked the superior room which was lovely and very good value for money. The only thing that let it down was that the bath was filthy. We didn’t have breakfast or use any of the facilities but we did order room service. The food was very nice and arrived hot and well presented. The lady on reception on arrival and checkout wasn’t the friendliest which was quite disappointing. Overall a pleasurable stay but could have been perfect if not for the dirty bath and unfriendly receptionist.

We booked a room which inc breakfast each morning. Every morning we were told by staff breakfast is extra £17.40pp Had to go through same argument daily of paying £35 then getting this refunded at reception as they would not correct the records. Witnessed 10 other people suffer the same fate. Awful way to start the day , not relaxing at all. The breakfast itself was not even worth it. Very poorly ran, constantly running out of everything from plates to eggs, juice etc. Constantly waiting for things to be filled as staff are not proactively monitoring everything and wait for customers to tell them before acting. Staff have a completely slopey shoulders approach to complaints, always just blaming another dept for errors. They managed to lock access to our rooms 1 hr before check out (for us and multiple other guests) Feel like I spent more time at reception than enjoying our time away. Urgently need new management team - completely ineffectively ran. The small terrace we had has clearly not been cleaned in months. Bird poo all over the railings, filled with old leaves and masses of cobwebs all over the door frame. Service completely ruined our stay

Our stay was a continuous, frustrating saga involving three different rooms, none of which met basic standards for comfort or cleanliness. The initial room was incredibly dated. The mattress was so old that it completely collapsed the moment I sat on it, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The bedding was also stained with dirty marks so clearly the cleaning was not up to normal standards. Adding to the discomfort, the radiator made an awful, disruptive banging noise as soon as I entered the room and didnt stop regardless of it was on or off. We immediately complained and requested a move. We were moved to a second room which, while slightly less dated, was noticeably grubby. The most disappointing aspect was the "King Bed," which was clearly just two single beds pushed together with a seam running down the middle. This is unacceptable for a hotel room advertised as having a king-size offering. We asked to swap rooms again, but the receptionist insisted the hotel was fully booked and there was no other rooms. It wasn't until we pushed for a refund that the situation magically changed. The receptionist contacted the manager, and suddenly, an "upgraded" room became available. This room was visually much more modern, but its appearance was entirely superficial, it was filthy. The final, and most disruptive, issue was the constant noise pollution. Every single time a toilet on our floor was flushed, we were woken up by a loud, horrendous banging and gushing noise.

the free upgrade was very much appreciated All the staff were amazing the free drinks and packet of chocs in the room were a welcome surprise especially as it was a birthday break . It was very average, definitely not bad, but not what I'd call great. I stayed 2 nights, room didn't get cleaned - perhaps this was an environmental and sustainability thing. Not the end of the world but its nice to have your bed made in a hotel. The breakfast was ok. The bar was ok. The gym was good. Quality well made robust equipment and clean so positive hear. The pool was cold and too small. Very limited seating capacity around the pool. The sauna ok, bit small. The steamroom didnt really work but at least they had one. Note i stayed in winter during a storm so i didn't get to use the gold facilities which looked good through my window. Reception staff friendly.

Cracked bath and bath panel, a shower that fires water past the bath, past the sink and out of the bathroom door, you can’t put a straight shower head on a bracket that you can’t angle down, it doesn’t work. Room was dated and just felt a bit grotty. Not worth the price they charge.

Booked the hotel as I was told by reception that the bar shut at 11pm so when o finished work at 10.15pm headed there and arrive 10.40pm and they had shut the bar early - I had been working since 8am that morning and only booked that hotel as told bay was open till 11pm could have booked elsewhere a lot cheaper but their bars shut at 10.30pm. When got to my room the tv remote would not work the tv so very frustrated went to bed
