Never again. The hotel looks nice online, but the rooms are terribly old and gross. Beds are awful and scratchy, and overall was on or the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. It smelled like mildew, the bathroom smelled like urine and for the price I was super disappointed. After traveling all day and night to NY, my children were exhausted so waiting for early check in they slept in the lounge area as they couldn’t stay awake. The staff treated us so awful, the employee and security guard came out acting like we were some transients loitering in their hotel. And after we were told to wake them up and I did they sent another staff member over when they could clearly see I was getting my children up and ready. If we weren’t so exhausted I would have left the hotel and found a new one entirely. Not family friendly that’s for sure. The location was about the only good thing as it was close to Central Park and time square.

My stay did not exist because I took the hotel insurance out and they would not honor it after a concert was canceled in New York City. I was not able to come in, but they would not honor any type of reimbursement or trade neither Orbitz or Park Central hotel would honor the insurance terrible terrible business.

Park Central Hotel NYC — Not Worth the Price Disappointing stay. The hotel feels tired and overpriced for what it offers. The room was cramped — the bathroom door barely cleared the toilet — and the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed indifferent and slow to respond, which didn’t help. And the bar closing at 10:30 p.m.? In New York City, that’s just absurd. With so many great places to stay in Manhattan, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

It was generally good but they asked to pay extra charge for destination fee and tax. Even though I had already paid the hotel bill in advance, the hotel bill was paid by my credit card automatically without any notice during check in and check out. It made me crazy and it was struggling to cancel wrong payment.

Hotel is ideally situated close to Central Park and Times Square, has subway station close by. We have stayed here the past 9 years sometimes twice a year, this year we were disappointed with the standard of the room, wallpaper peeling in several places, also bathroom door showed signs of water damage; paint and wood peeling and water marks.
