Expedia is asking me to rate my hotel stay at Colonial Inn and suites. I would first have to say stay away and I’ll explain why. One the way to the room I saw dead bugs on the floor. We were give a first floor room which had a sliding glass door that did not lock. I had the manger come and he was not remotely interested except to point out that there is a 1/2 in thick pole that comes down to stop the door from opening. But honestly the pathetic bar could be bent very easily. We were very uneasy in the room and saw spiders in the bathtub and yes it looked superficially clean but neither of us slept under the covers and both slept with our clothes on. The coffee pot didn’t work becz many outlets didn’t work. We ended up plugging it in by the bed. They sink is by the front door which is barely big enough for just 1 person and the AC wall unit clicked on and off all night. But we had to use it because the room was damp. I wore my socks to walk around and my feet felt wet. The dampness in the room was over whelming. But I was here for my child’s graduation and if there was another place to stay I would have left but I had zero options. We barely slept because you hear everything in the hallway and plus we were very fearful someone was going to come in the sliding glass door. We had booked 2 rooms and both were identically bad. Do not spend your money at this property. I also called the property manager and she could care less about my experience.

Check in was fast. Room was recently renovated and still smelled of fresh paint. Shower and bathroom were new and clean. Air conditioner new but a little loud.

Clean, but could be better

It was very clean. Everything was new. TV wouldnt turn on at all, or shut off (only screensaver on). Coffee station was pretty weak. Kinda like a toy station. Overall would stay there again

For the past 2 years, I've been staying at this hotel every time I needed to be in the area. Historically, it's been bare bones but adequate (no on site breakfast but close enough to enough restaurants/fast food that it wasn't a problem), but this time was not ideal. Our original room had a broken toilet paper holder, and I requested another room immediately upon recognizing this issue so that it would be clear that we were not the ones that caused damages. The staff was rude, and said they'd "leave a note" and we had to pushback just to get a new room. We did eventually, but the entire transaction wasn't pleasant. When I turned on the shower in the replacement room, the water originally came out brown but eventually ran clear. Since I had already requested to have my room moved, I didn't bring this up but it wasn't pleasant. Would not stay here again going forward, after this experience.

The room was clean and quiet. The tv wasnt functioning and there was no closet. The mattress was hard as a rock and the bedding was flimsy. But for the amount they were charging you really cant expect more

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, the door opened up to a sitting area outside my room with 2 chairs and a table that was a nice touch to have. I wish they had more channels available especially for kids but it was a nice place

Home in Hallstead PA

Enjoyable stay only thing is you can hear guests next room over talking through the walls. They were loud but probably didn’t mean it. Slept well
