This condo sits on the second floor of the Proposal Rock Inn, the oceanfront grounds of which include a gas grill for guest use, an on-site laundromat, and gorgeous views of the creek, the Pacific Ocean, and iconic Proposal Rock itself. Stroll across the creek to take sunrise and sunset strolls on the sand each day.



Begin each morning on your covered balcony, a wonderful spot to sip a mug of coffee, listen to the cries of passing gulls, and breathe in the fresh sea air. The condo's interior is smartly laid out, with such at-home conveniences as complimentary WiFi and cable TVs. Enjoy the light-filled living room and the well-equipped kitchen adorned with all of the essentials. The description of the room made it sound perfect for our needs. The smell when you open the door is musty which we assumed is because it's an older place on the coast. There is dust on every rarely used surface or dish and the top of the stove was dirty. We even found splatter on the clock from who knows what. The sheets on the old hard bed actually smelled like soap but the comforter smelled like dirty dog and pillows smelled old and musty. The white towels looked used and dirty. They were stained, brown in spots and rough to the touch. Completely unusable. The bedroom door is split like it had been kicked in at some point. We only stayed 3 hrs because the place is dirty and uncomfortable and 1 week later still have not heard back about any form of refund even though I sent pics of everything.

We stay on the Oregon coast 1-2 times a year & always look for a new place we love. The most important thing to us is location & a balcony with a great view. If I were to give stars for this it would be 5. We want it to feel inviting & fairly clean. We don't need a lot. This particular unit needs more attention to these details. You could tell it had been cleaned, but it was musty. I think the blankets needed washing, also the extras in the closest.The kitchen is well appointed, but had only 3 teaspoons & 15 dinner knives & 2 ceramic coffee cups. The couch has ripped upholstery. I found an old shredded bath mat was under the sink. There are no handles in the tub showers, although there are some old slip mats available. I think there are some better options in this building for next time & I do hope that someone will take some time to care for this unit & make it as nice as some of the others. I realize it is hard to keep good cleaners from afar and also,being by the sea can make it difficult to keep up on things, but I could really feel that this places is not getting the care it deserves & I hope that it will. We will definitely return to this area & another unit in the building rented by this company, as I do recognize that this company has some nicer ones. Maybe it was just acquired & will eventually be fixed up a bit. Since the location was so lovely we were able to over look a lot of these things for only 2 nights & spend a lot of time on the balcony & the beach.
