We’ve stayed at Starfish Manor several times before but this trip.. something was off. We were assigned a room, got settled in, then a few mins later there was a knock at the door. It was the front desk lady saying she gave us the wrong key card and we were actually in a different room a floor up. So we packed our things back up and moved to that room. When we walked in, I noticed a dirty wash cloth on the bed and upon further inspection also found a dirty sock under the vanity, the garbage can was full, and a wet used towel draped over the shower curtain rod… We let the front desk know, she was shocked and said she’d come remove the used items. But in hindsight.. we probably should have been comped a room or switched rooms again. Who knows what else wasn’t cleaned??

Check in was ok, checked out the room and then went out for a few hours. When we came back and time to relax, there was no tv remote. Talked to front desk and they said it’s in there somewhere. Went to front desk and they handed me a remote that turned the tv on/off nothing else. Could not turn on cable. Went back to front desk for the fourth time and tried switching rooms. No rooms available but there were in fact many rooms available because we called and checked!!! Said they would comp part of our stay and they never did. It may sound petty but when you pay almost $300 for a room and you can’t watch tv? Not ok!!!

Great property, hotel room was clean and linens and robes were an awesome touch. Jetted tub overlooking the ocean, watching the sunset was amazing! Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in!

It would be nice if you want a second night like I did to be able to go to front desk and book it. They had room but said I needed to go to Expedia. Also wanted to charge me double for the second night.Should be easier to work with staff there.Beautiful lobby. Would be nice to have fresh fruit and or beverages for for guests.

“Ocean view” was if you’re standing directly in front of the window, look left at 90 degrees and you’ll get a small view of the ocean between buildings. Also, ice machine out of order.

I liked the Jacuzzi overlooking the water however mine did not work and when maintenance came to fix it it worked for one minute and then stopped again so rather than have maintenance in and out of my room I went and told staff to just have them fix it after my stay, and that was one of the main reasons for me choosing this property

Gorgeous views

It was an amazing room with a gorgeous view! The only issue was there was a foul smell in the room that i believe was from moist carpet arount jetted tub. We didnt mention it because unfortunately we had to check out after only a few hours due to some unfortunate events that happend at home. Overall amazing place.
