Great views… ok rooms
I will preface this by saying… you can’t beat the setting, the view, and the service here. All of that is top notch. The rooms, however, are where it falls apart a little. There were a number of items that were in need of some serious attention. We had a hole in the laminate flooring and the floor was spongy surrounding it - one electrical outlet was just dead and another didn’t even have a cover plate. Exposed wiring and wall socket were very evident - the shower rod was riddled with rust - towel rods in the bathroom were loose and floppy on the wall - the bed was at the end of its life. It was very squeaky, sloped, and had a hump in the middle - the bathroom door was missing laminate and chunks of wood along the bottom. Now, with an establishment of this age you expect wear and tear. This, however, was off putting. When you’re charging +$200/night… I expect better care to be shown.
