We arrived at Aqua Blue Hotel only to find out they had overbooked and didn’t have a room for us—despite our reservation. After a long 3-hour wait, they finally arranged another hotel. The only saving grace was the helpful staff and the fact that they did cover the cost. Still, this kind of chaos shouldn’t happen. Extremely disappointing.

the property does not look like the online photos. The room was supposed to be a superior suite with a view of the ocean. I asked the front desk for help as i was not happy with the $500 per night room. I asked that they change my room to a regular room and give me a reduced rate. they strung me along till 8pm. I asked for the General Mgr. # which they gave me, but it was wrong. finally, was given the correct # and spoke to a Michael V. who was rude. he said he could not make any adjustments and that was it. then he said he has a family and needs his job. I said if you can't give me a credit then please refund me and i will go to a different hotel. I tried to call Expedia to complain and could never reach anyone. I am not happy with the hotel and very disappointed in trying to reach EXPEDIA to help me with this problem. I would like some sort of compensation. It was a nightmare.

Agua Blue has the BEST location, close to everything. The property is very run down. The airconditioning was EXTREMELY NOISY and rattled. The hotel is apparently under renovations, the restaurant and pool were not opened. But there is no communication, they precharged my card for "incendentals" but there are NO incendentals. My room needed ALOT OF TLC and the carpet was dirty.

Was very uncomfortable sleeping- bed was extremely uncomfortable, hard. Felt like springs digging into my back. Hallway carpets need cleaning. Also looking at building from outside, the roof cupola was caved in and looked dangerous.

what I was totally disgusted with was that I paid a one night deposit to Expedia in June. When I got there Aqua Blue said I owed 2 nights. I showed them my receipt, they called Expedia and they said I didn't pay anything. It's not saying much for Expedia.

I loved the ocean views from my balcony. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The location was perfect - just steps from the ocean and cafes and shops are directly behind the hotel. I came with my family, and we all had a great time!!!

False advertising, no sofa beds, tired overpriced

Hotel advertised room as king bed with sofa bed. There was no sofa bed. When I asked at front desk I was told hotel has no sofa beds. False advertising. Had to sleep on a chaise chair all night. Window in hall outside room was open and had no screen, flies were coming in. Room was missing room number. Left message for manager to call me. Never received phone call. Hotel is tired and way overpriced and would not recommend.

Immediate reaction upon opening the door to the room was to the strong smell of disinfectant. And the carpet was damp. Eeeww. More than one hook in the bathroom isn't asking for too much. And coffee and Styrofoam cups replenished the next morning wudda been nice

This hotel could be so amazing but just falls short. I booked this hotel mainly because of the pool which was such a major let down. The hot tub was absolutely disgusting and the pool itself was dirty and freezing. The hotel offered coffee around the clock, which was nice, but a simple breakfast in the morning would have been much more convenient. The bed and pillows were stiff. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly.
