No shades on the lamps. NO bottom in one of the dresser drawers. Clothes fell on the floor. Room set at 63. two stink bugs and one fairly big spider greeted me. And that was the UP GRADED room they gave me.

I heard they renovated this place so gave it another chance. Arrived to find my room lock was inoperable. Staff could not get in either so she kindly offered a room that had a flooding problem. Carpet was wet, bed was soft but clean sheets and HVAC worked well.

Horrible Service, Place is a Dump

Arrived tired at 10:30pm and the room was pre-paid. It stank like weed when I entered the lobby. Front desk person did not arrive back to desk for 15 minutes. Upon checking in, I realized that my driver’s license was not in my wallet. I had an expired license and a picture of my current license that I was willing to email them as a backup. The front desk person kept repeating that it was hotel policy and then she couldn’t check me in without a physical copy of my actual ID. She was unwilling to budge, even though I told her that the license was 4 hours away and that I had nowhere else to stay. She didn’t care. I asked to speak to the manager on duty, she said that she was unavailable at the time. She wouldn’t check me in no matter what and threatened to call the police as I plead my case. I found a hotel an hour north who would take an email of my ID and printed a copy. The Super 8 in Groton was a dump and the place I found was much better. But ended up paying for 2 hotels.

Other than the carpet, the room was clean & comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and outdated and smelled like old smoke. We never saw or heard anyone vacuum for 3 days. Breakfast is basically a choice of 2 snacks, coffee and juice. It was okay for a quick stop but its definitely not for long term or a vacation. I would go back if nothing else was available but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Front desk staff are nice, parking availability is good, housekeeping is good, but our room felt “wet”, “moist”. As if there was mold. However there was no sight of mold anywhere! The carpet floor felt weird and isn’t in the best condition. Also many things weren’t great. Cracked/bloated wood, things painted very messy, etc. The best thing was the shower pressure and its ability to be hot or cold in an instant, also the staff is very accommodating in providing extra towels and pillows.

This place is disappointing, do not believe pictures you see cuz the rooms do not look anything like that. This hotel is dirty, smells terrible and is understaffed. Front desk agent was nice and I understand this is not up to her. The manager is a disappointment. Not only talking over you when you trying to explain your concerns and request something to be done but also rude and don’t know how to handle complaints. I took pictures of the room nothing like what you see on the website. Stay away from this place.

The area is super sketchy! I drove up from North Carolina because I was now stationed in Groton and needed a place to stay until my apartment was ready. I stayed in the room the entire time but paranoid that my car would for sure get broken into. This place needs a major upgrade and everything is super dated. Room was clean but everything looked old. Not a place I would thing the Wyndham name would be under. I’m finally in my own apartment thank goodness…..

Employees were nice and the other guests were too, but their concept of breakfast was nutrigrain bars, juice and coffee. Nonsmoking room smelled of smoke and had cigarette burns in the carpet. All-in-all an acceptable place to stay, but far from “nice.”

The worst stay at any hotel ever

Amanda Riley was nice and helpful. However the rest of the hotel was an absolute dump. I got the impression it is used for section 8 housing. The place smelled of weed. I believe I saw a drug deal. The carpet in my room had a hole. The blankets had burn holes in the, one could only assume were from cigarettes. The Big Texas cinnamon rolls they had for breakfast were stale. The bathroom sink had burn marks on it and held up with exposed plywood. The parking lot is a junkyard. There were 9 inoperable vehicles in the parking lot that you could tell from the debris on them that they had not been driven in a long time. I woke up early and went downstairs to get a cup of coffee. There was no one to be found. Finally after about a half hour a guy showed up behind the counter and I asked about coffee. He told me 6:00. We didn’t even look up at me and spoke in a very non pleasant tone. His name is Angel. He seemed like a very disgruntled employee. Oh yeah, the window curtain has holes in it and the carpet doesn’t seem to have seen a vacuum in quite some time. Especially between the nightstand and bed.
