The house was so welcoming with cookies, water and wine waiting on us. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen at a home we ever stayed. There were plenty of towels and a basket full of blankets to snuggle up with during the chilly evening. The house is in the perfect location for walkable restaurants. We also enjoyed walking to the shops, the Christmas tree lighting and the holiday boat parade. The hosts kept us informed of upcoming events. We had such a great Thanksgiving holiday as 2 families united. We are very thankful for a magical time in Mystic in such a wonderful home with such caring hosts. I highly recommend staying here.

This home is wonderful. It's stately while still being warm and inviting. The grounds are amazing with a charming swing, beautiful patio with a fountain, and lots of space for kids to run and play. The kitchen is stocked, the beds are cozy, and the location is an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The owners are super responsive and even had cookies and spirits for us when we arrived, an unexpected touch. We were a family of 14 and it was perfect. We can't say enough about it. On a scale of 1-10 it's 11. We loved it here.

The home was perfect for our Saltwater Farm Vineyard wedding weekend! Due to a last minute schedule issue we had to do hair & makeup for 11 at the house and having all the great space downstairs was great! We also enjoyed relaxing on the patio and the very short walk to stores, restaurants and ice cream! Could not ask for a better location with a quiet yard, patio and tree swing but a block away from stores and restaurants. My brother-in-law enjoyed sitting on the front porch. The kitchen is amazing but with the wedding weekend we did not use it much, but we did enjoy the wine and cookies left by the host on the large kitchen island. Highly recommend.

Wedding trip

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were a large group staying in town for a wedding and this was the perfect property. The house itself is charming with tons of great space for large groups to hang out. We took advantage of the great kitchen and dining room a few times. The bedrooms were also very comfortable and can accommodate kids or couples. The bathrooms were also newer. The location can’t be beat. And finally, Glenn and Lynn couldn’t have been nicer to my family and were extremely generous.

Wonderful home for large groups

The Mallory House is perfectly situated-walking distance to downtown with lots of indoor/outdoor space to host large groups. The kitchen was well stocked to handle our family of 14 and there was plenty of room to sit and catch up. Skip and Lynn were incredibly responsive to any questions we had or providing recommendations. I would certainly bring the family back if the opportunity presents itself.

Relaxing Reunion

A group of friends and family from NJ and Boston stayed as a reunion before the craziness of the holidays. The house, the location, the weather, everything was incredible from start to finish. Just minutes away walking from plenty of restaurants and bars! The hosts came with plenty of recommendations, and helped make our decision for dining for the weekend. Definitely would recommend this property!!

Wonderful historic house

We really enjoyed staying in Mallory house in New London, CT. It was very convenient to downtown Mystic and walking distance to a variety of restaurants. The description in the ad of the house is accurate. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. All of the appliances are top of the line models and in good working order. There were plenty of dishes and glassware. We didn’t verify the cooking utensils because we were too busy trying out the restaurants and donut shops in the area. But we were able to find everything that we looked for. The towels and bedding all exceeded expectations. The floor plan is a little quirky, it is a historic house, but was very comfortable and workable for our group of 7 adults and a toddler. We really appreciated the special touches, a plate of homemade cookies, private label wine, coffee and a selection of teas. The host provided us with good recommendations on the area and was very quick with answers to any questions we had.

Wonderful Historic Home in Mystic

We (a group of 12 women who have been in the same bookclub for 20 years) had a wonderful 'anniversary' celebration in this beautiful historic home. The bedroom configurations worked out perfectly, with one master on the first floor. The location to downtown Mystic and the Mystic Seaport Museum allowed for easy walks on what ended up being two beautiful fall days. The kitchen was stocked with every cooking utensil we needed and the appliances were updated/modern. There were plenty of bathrooms and expansive, comfortable gathering spaces inside and out. A lovely, lovely yard as well. The owners were as gracious as could be and very easy to communicate with.

Wonderful Home

Our stay at the Charles Mallory House was absolutely perfect! Our family gathered here for our daughter’s wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful home to share and celebrate the days leading up to and including the big day. The hosts, Lynn and Skip, were incredibly accommodating and provided everything we could have possibly needed. If we could give it more than 5 stars, we would—10/10!

Nice GEM of a home!

We booked this home for our whole family as the home base while we were in Mystic for our daughter's wedding. While we were pretty busy with the wedding, we did not get to spend as much time on the property as we would have liked. But when we were there, it met all our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable, with a kitchen well stocked with essentials. We absolutely loved the charm and history of the home. The backyard and sitting area was a great place for the kids to run around while the adults lounged in the nice sitting area. Most importantly, there were a couple minor glitches and the owners were VERY responsive and fixed the problems immediately. It's obvious they take pride in their home. We would definitely come back!

Marvelous Mystic

This house was perfect for our large group of 13, including lifelong college friends, their spouses and children in their 20’s. The house is gorgeous and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved sitting out on the large beautiful patio surrounded by flowers and a fountain. The walkability to downtown was a huge bonus. We enjoyed shopping, brunch, dinners and happy hours at many establishments (Lynn provided some great tips). Some of our group also had fun using the kayaks and paddle boards. The group was unanimous, we all loved our stay here!
