A very nice hotel overall- contemporary and tasteful decorations, helpful staff, etc.- but it's a bit far from the center of the old town. It's virtually adjacent to where Oktoberfest is held, so it would be very convenient for that, but otherwise it required a 20 or so minute walk to the sights through a lively but not particularly scenic neighborhood.

Excellent value in Munich

Excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, simple but very carefully thought out design and all facilities provided without frills or fuss. Superb choices available at breakfast, focussing on healthy options instead of the usual fried stuff. Reasonably convenient location (get a regular travel pass, not the tourist kind) and very good value for money. Just one thing: please don’t allow smoking on the terrace where people are eating.

Second stay within a week. Loved the hotel and front desk service. A bit outside town center, but in a residential area and a block away from a mall and few nice cafes and restaurants. Recommend it.

Loved it!

Kudos to this hotel’s management and staff. The hotel is on the West End of the city. It takes 25 minutes to walk to center of town and 10 minutes by tram. The neighborhood is middle class with a mall a block away from hotel and several good coffee shops and restaurants within a radius of 3 blocks. The hotel and rooms are thoughtfully designed and supplied. Bed and pillows are comfortable, room is quiet and spacious, and bathroom is well supplied. If anything, I suggest hotel adds a second below so it would be comfortable to recline while watching tv. In hot weather, the room has an almost silent ceiling fan that cools the air. Breakfast buffet is well stocked and serviced. Reception desk has excellent, friendly, and helpful staff (a special shoutout to Marietta). Excellent hotel. I recommend it highly.
