Staff was very personable ,friendly and helpful.Room was a bit dusty upon arrival but was much better 2 days after when housekeeping arrived to clean.Did not like that there was no resturant in the immediate vicinity or on the property for formal dining. The breakfast options were great.

the place was nice , renewed, or new looking , thge room was large and comfortable, the breakfast included was good and varied each morning, thge staff were helpful and attentive - the only negative was the pool where we found cloudy water without the smell of chlorine and several band-aids on and around the deck area. my kids were looking forward to a swim after a long drive but we checked back the next day and found the same so we avoided it.

Property was quiet. Check in was quite slow. One of our towels smelled awful, and whoever installed the plumbing seems to really, really have an axe to grind with the hotel. There is about an inch of exposed pipe between the wall and the tub faucet. Feels incredibly risky deciding you want to have water coming out of the shhowerhead. The tub doesnt drain well at all and backs up all over your feet. Not a nice experience to cap off a long day of travel. Otherwise room was spacious.

Hotel was basic and clean. I have no idea how they can serve that breakfast and look people in the eye and say it is edible. Fake eggs and mystery meat. The waffles were the only things that could pass as decent. Hampton needs to figure it out or just don’t offer it. Steer clear if you are looking for breakfast.

Great stay despite staffing issues.

Check in process was extremely frustrating. Long wait times and front desk attitude was not supportive of a good experience. Basic rule - Front desk should NOT be answering other inquiries over the phone when there is a long line up at the front desk. The person I was dealing with answered 3 separate phone calls while he was checking me in, and kept forgetting where he left the process. Felt very rude and inconsiderate. Even during out stay, we found requests left at the Front desk staff were being missed as shifts changed. Felt they need a better system to communicate internally as well. Facilities, cleanliness, rooms, pool and common areas were excellent! Breakfast was really good and had lots of variety. Location of hotel is good (ideal next to highway). Though car theft does happen in the area - front desk was giving steering wheel locks for additional safety.

Problems started with check-in. The person at the desk was covered with his own dandruff and seemed a bit out of sorts. 1. Told me there is no shuttle to the airport. The Orbitz site specifically says there is. This was a key factor in selecting this hotel and cost of stay. Misrepresentation is not ok. 2. Told me my Hilton Honors number was not attached to the room because I ordered through Orbitz. Ok. But then said it could NOT be registered at check-in because "the system would just kick it out." This was dishonest. The next morning, somebody else at the desk was able to add it. 3. Got to my room and the safe was locked. This is a serious problem. Called the desk and the same guy said the safes sometimes don't work and I should not use it. Seriously??? The safe actually seemed new, and the statement seemed dishonest. I insisted and they sent somebody up to open the safe. It worked fine after that. 4. The breakfast space was overloaded with no tables available. I ate the first plate in my room, then went down and found an empty (dirty) table. A family promptly came up to me asking if they could share my small table with me. The hotel needs to manage the crowds, as other Hilton properties have done. 5. Less of a big deal, but some usual breakfast items like fresh cut fruit were not available. They left the sign up and the space empty. I don't believe there was a fruit shortage in the greater Montreal area. The dishonesty, etc., was well below normal Hilton standards.

Although fitted and top sheets were clean, the mattress cover and topper were dirty with multiple, very large urine stains. Disgusting. Problem was promptly fixed and management followed up seemingly with a desire to address the issue with the cleaning staff, but still. The rest of the hotel was very clean and staff was attentive. Breakfast was good.
