Interactions with Staff were lacking. The front desk person was blunt. Asked a basic question, “Do you have a room with a fireplace?” The reply was “AS I TOLD YOU, we are booked.” Rude. Also, walls are thin. You can hear all the neighbors. Good breakfast and the breakfast attendant was very nice and accommodating.

Our stay was pleasant. The Inn is clean. Their rooms are nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is your typical continental breakfast, nothing fancy. I believe they offer cottages as well that would be worth staying at as well. Their location is perfect and walkable to the beach and shops. Would stay here again.

Power was out all over Carmel so we didn’t get to enjoy the breakfast but from the looks of things -the breakfast was just a few pastries, cold cereal, and fruit. Even with power this appeared to be the norm. The property was just average. Small rooms and nothing special about the facility. We have stayed and several properties around Carmel and Ocean Ave and have been able to find better hotels with more amenities for the same price. Sadly we most likely will not return.
