Do NOT go to this hotel. It was dirty, poor service, our whole bathroom exploded from tiles up and poop was every where. Both my kids and I got skin infections from their dirty sheets and dirty pool water. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. Rooms are old and dirty. Even hallways dirt. The whole hotel looks like it has been through a beating and then someone pooped all over it. This is not exaggerating, it is the simple truth. DO NOT go here if you actually need to go on vacation. They changed our room 3 times.

The hotel was fine however the sales mentality of the staff was atrocious. They give you a colored bracelet that is also your room key that you can’t take off. The bracelet color ets staff know at a glance if you booked through Expedia, CostCo travel, etc. and they hound you about buying a vacation package directly with them. They offered me free tickets to a show if I met with a representative for no more than 45 minutes. It turned into a 5 hour ordeal AND they called me the next day to see offer another vacation package! The packages run upwards of $20,000 by the way. I felt like I was buying a car and not taking a much needed break from work. Not what I wanted to do in my vacation and I am very disappointed. The experience soured the rest of the vacation. I’m disappointed.

The best part of this hotel were the staff. They were helpful, prompt, and friendly. The hotel itself is a bit dated and is starting to show some wear and tear. I will be interested to see what it looks like after the renovations.

Quality of food was horrible. Basically middle school cafeteria food. Lack of a la carte restaurants was disappointing. How can you go to a resort in Mexico and not have tacos at a restaurant? The pool chair game was so frustrating and not "policed" by staff at all. You basically have to demand to speak to a manager to get someone to remove towels from an unoccupied chair (unoccupied for hours!). Too many seats reserved for the Time Share guests. Regular guests get relegated to the second and third rows of chairs.
