Even before we arrived the amazing team at The James New York were looking after us. Our arrival was delayed by 2 days due to a snow storm and the team understanding our situation shifted our reservation without penalty. On arrival, tired from our travel we were greeted by smiling staff who went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. During our stay, everyone was so pleasant - we felt very welcome! Couldn't have asked for a better place to make our home while in NY!

The room was as expected but the reception staff were so dismissive and unpleasant that it made any interaction with them difficult. Perhaps this is the New York way, but should it be the Holiday Inn way? Also, the trash and affected people congregated/lying outside the hotel every evening is very off-putting.

"We loved our stay. It’s like a motel turned eco friendly resort. We had an upper corner room, which afforded us unobstructed views and privacy.
