Great stay! Service was good, place is super clean— very chill and good vibes! Liked being close to the airport. Beach at the resort is mid so would go off site for that experience. Loved Azul restaurant!

The housekeeping was not good at all. There was hair all over the beds after they had “cleaned” the room and hair on the floor that did not belong to us. None of the toiletries were restocked for our four day stay. They provided us with one toothbrush and one microscopic sized toothpaste for two people. They also do not accommodate late check outs. Our wristbands were deactivated before our 11AM checkout time and the front desk told us that that was normal.

Not Worth It – Loud, Run-Down, and Poorly Managed The resort looks nice at first glance, but it desperately needs major renovation. It’s extremely loud—definitely not for someone looking to relax. I had a horrible 3-night stay with drunk neighbors fighting every night. The all-inclusive setup seems to bring out the worst in some guests. The staff was friendly, but the real issue is poor management. Parking is off-property and inconvenient. I don’t mind paying for parking, but the current arrangement is not guest-friendly. The all-inclusive model might work well for big groups or families looking for convenience, but it’s not ideal for couples or anyone seeking a quality, peaceful vacation. I ultimately left Sonesta early and spent my last 2 nights at Divi Beach instead—which was a much better experience. For a short stay, I also recommend The Morgan—it’s convenient, modern, and offers excellent service with beautifully designed rooms. It’s a real shame that management allows such a beautiful property and location to be overshadowed by poor oversight and noise issues. If you’re looking for a relaxing and well-managed stay in St. Martin, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Sonesta Ocean Point was a beautiful and well maintained property! The pools were clean, quiet, and comfortable lounge beds. We really enjoyed the restaurants, Azul and Portofino! The food was incredible and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The gym was well maintained with a variety of equipment. Our room was spacious, clean, with plenty of seating. Definitely would stay there again!!

Unfortunately for the money the property wasn't worth the cost. Property needs an overhaul desperately. Someone staying a few rooms down from us had roaches in their room. We were asked to leave our pool due to a private event that wasn't on the itinerary. Played music till 11:30 after being at the pool all day. We asked when it was going to end with someone from their staff. And the rude response was the event had nothing to do with them. Staff was rude throughout the stay other than the restaurant Azel on the Adults only Ocean point. Only one restaurant with quality food. Said to have paid this much and feel like your at a motel 6. The Island is beautiful but dont stay here if your looking for good service and upscale.

SonestaOceanPoint,SintMaarten We had a GREAT TIME

EVERYTHING was OUTSTANDING for my wife and I with friends for our 50th Wedding Anniversary EXCEPT when they CLOSED the MAIN pool for some private party at 3 PM!!! EVERYONE at the pool complained about that!!! The food was EXCELLENT, (many choices to choose from), the service OUTSTANDING,ALL the staff, ALL over the grounds were courteous AND friendly!!!

Easy property to get around on while still feeling like you had other areas to go. Grounds were well maintained. Plenty of places to get food or drink and nice pools. Primary issues were twofold, 1. Half the staff was amazing while the other half you couldn't get a hello or a smile. 2. Room was a mess, every single day we had an issue. When I mentioned how disappointed I was to the front desk, I only got a "well did we fix the problem?" Shouldn't pay what I paid for that room and have to deal with that. In summary, I paid twice for this trip what I normally do and got half the service.
