The room is utilitarian, the towels an odd, silky, non-absorbent type. No bottled water provided in-room; there's a gas station across the street. Wifi is an unsecured network. But the young man who checked me in was delightful--efficient, good-natured, friendly without being too familiar. He was a good salve to end a long travel day, a flight delayed so long the hotel shuttle had stopped running.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we noticed at how dirty downstairs and the staircase was. Also, there are no lifts!! Please do state this! The following morning I was woken up at 7am with a drilling noise downstairs outside at the side of my room. I was furious. When we went downstairs, staff were laughing and joking as though they were back in college. I found it very unprofessional and when you tried to ask them something they just dismissed you. They were quite rude and it felt like they were looking down on us. The irony of this. I would avoid this hotel at all costs.

Room very good comfortable and I clean. Pool surrounds not so. Reception very very difficult. Tried before I left NZ to get extra day as flights changed. Got replies 'sure' and 'yes you are'. But this was not so. At Reception was told to book extra day on line for twice price of one day. Second day should be cheaper as no cleaning etc. Then $100 deposit with no receipt and hold on card. I would have used different card! Then was given a room that was already occupied. I had to request an apology when I reprted this and was allocated another room. So moved out today. Got a day riom elsewhere. Shame as room was good.
