Cunny Move by Management
We recently stayed at this property for just 2 nights as a base while exploring London, and we barely used the place, making it impossible for us to cause the kind of stains they later claimed.
We received an email stating that a portion of our deposit would be kept due to “extra cleaning” for marks on the wall - which were already there when we arrived and are completely normal for a well-lived space and for a torn throw that was already in poor condition upon check-in.
We made sure to leave everything spotless, washing all pots and utensils and disposing of all rubbish before we left, which made their claim even more frustrating. It felt like a cunny move from a business that is supposed to be ethical.
I had to follow up multiple times and send a strong email challenging their claim. In the end, the deposit was eventually released, with their excuse being that their cleaning team was unable to provide an invoice for the additional work. This kind of behaviour is unfair and disappointing, I wouldn’t be able to recommend them
