The room was clean. You can leave your luggage at the Phoenix a couple doors down, which is also where you check it. I was traveling with a friend and we booked a room with two twin beds. However, the beds were pushed together in front of a double headboard with built in side tables so it was impossible to move the beds apart. Misleading if you're traveling economy and sharing a room. The bedside lights were also both broken. And it a lot of noise from the street at night so headphones or earplugs are advisable. The neighborhood seemed safe, and it's very near the tube. Walking distance to many breakfast spots and Tesco & Sainsbury's.

I had a lovely time staying at this hotel. I arrived at 8am after a red eye flight, and to my luck my room was ready. I stayed in the room with the twin bed. It was small, but perfect for my solo trip. I had a great view of the Kensington Gardens. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Fantastic location too, a short walk from Notting Hill and Hyde Park. When I return to London, I will definitely stay here.
