Our room was next to a staff room - not sure if it was a cleaning cupboard or something but every 30 minutes we could hear loud banging coming from this room and/or the heavy door slamming meaning we didn’t get a good nights sleep as this went on way past 4am. There was no air conditioning which I was surprised at as other village hotels I have been to do have this. Red stains (?!) on the ceiling of our room, maybe red wine (I hope). Staff on reception were really friendly, our room was just very run down I feel which let it down for the price. Location is fine to get into Liverpool city centre and the reception area, outdoors and bar looked well looked after.

We got there abit early so they looked after our bags whilst we went out shopping etc. staff friendly really looked after us. Would recommend 100%, Just 1 thing the shower gels were all gone apart from that was brilliant.

The plug sockets didn’t work in the room and I was staying due to a wedding. Only one socket worked between 2 of us. Besides that, the room was fine.
