This hotel is a bit tired. The bathroom was very clean - the windows filthy and the carpet stained. In the reception the lights above the desk were very very dusty. Breakfast is basic. The staff are mixed. We booked because of the parking and I got an email from Expedia saying ring the hotel and book it. When I did I was told that they did not take bookings as it was first thing first served. When I read out the email from Expedia and said that I had booked because of the parking I was told they had no discretion to book parking and that expedia said nothing different! I wouldn’t book this hotel if you want parking as it was very busy. Having said that the receptionist on Thursday and this morning (male student) was excellent and very helpful. So mixed.

Staff where friendly & helpful. It's a shame but had to ask for hairdryer as one wasn't in the room, I was advised by staff that some had broken hence why it was missing. Dirty spoons in room, which where replace quickly by staff. No vanity area in room. Breakfast was a bit lacking for me, coffee wasn't great & pastries where clearly not fresh.

Overall clean, i noticed a couple of things but not big enough to make an issue of. The carpet in the room near the door was damaged and there was a gap at the bottom of the shower screen at one end so the floor got wet, unless you can shower in the space of a square foot. The bathroom was very small. The iron in the room leaked but the staff did bring us another one quickly. We got more tea and coffee etc when we asked which was good. Convenient location to look around shops. We did do much sightseeing as we were attending an event. Most of the staff were friendly. We did sleep well, and had a view of the dock. Breakfadt was ok but the hot food went cold quite quickly even on a warm plate. I think a little more could be spent to get some decent coffee. Not the best place i've stayed but not the worst either. Would i stay again? Questionable with so much choice of hotels in the area

It is in a great location near the waterfront, where you can catch the Hop On/Off buses, or the ferries. The whole area is very walkable. It is close to The Cavern, which is a must see if you are a Beatles fan!
