Lovely staff member in the dining room at breakfast (Sat 2nd Aug) sorry I didn’t get her name. Disappointed that the sink in the bathroom was badly repaired and made gurgling noise when the sink was used. The hallways had a musty wet smell.

We were asked if we wanted to pay for upgrade! £30 this included parking in QPark (£16) so we agreed plus £15 each for breakfast. The room was nice, clean etc! On returning in the evening we couldn’t get the tv to work, reception replaced batteries in remote it still did not work it was late so we didn’t both! All night at 10-15 minutes intervals there was a mechanical noise in the room as thought a fan was trying to kick in really annoying! Reported to reception on check out they said maintenance would check it! Without the discount plus the upgrade this would have been £170 including breakfast (which wasn’t great) so not value for money!

Check in staff very helpful, bar staff very average. Bedding did not fit the bed (king size bed without big enough duvet) hence very uncomfortable night which, considering the room price is just not good enough. Shower also too narrow for a full size adult. Disappointing and poor value for money.

Great hotel, everyone was so helpful & friendly. The whole property was spotlessly clean. It was situated right in the center of town, convenient for shops, restaurants & public transport etc. I felt the breakfast was quite average & a bit expensive. Also during the night the rooms were very hot, the window did open a bit, which helped sightly. All in all we had a great stay.

The staff where so friendly and helpful however the bed was really uncomfortable, so where the pillows and i didn't want to ask for another duvet it blanket because i knew it would be very expensive. Overall the stay was good, the food was average, id probably not stay again

Wouldn’t go back to this hotel . After a stressful journey you just want to get into your room fast .Check in was very slow , something about the system not working but staff did not show much urgency about fixing the problem and were not very apologetic. Buffet breakfast was disappointing , not a very fulsome choice of food , e.g no fried eggs, surely a breakfast staple ? Choice for continental breakfast was particularly poor. In addition , we came back to the room at 5 pm one day having been out all day to find the chambermaid had just started cleaning our room . We had to trudge back downstairs and wait in the lobby for another 15 minutes . The room itself was a bit shabby and in need of upgrading . No drawers or shelves - where are you expected to store jumpers , socks, underwear , phone chargers jewellery etc ? The location is also not good for sights , restaurants etc apart from being near the station Not a great experience.
