Very nice hotel, larger than I imagined. Modern, inviting, clean, decent size room and bathroom. Pool was busy with swimmers (naturally, as it’s summer) though the pool area itself is expansive, so plenty of room for all. Comfortable hotel beds with a restful sleep. Easy walk to Rainey St and views over to the river …albeit interrupted by 2 x building cranes and new construction nearby. Though we stayed only one Sat night on our travels around the world (we mixed our stay with another nearby “Texan traditional hotel”) we would absolutely recommend The Fairmont.
