Although this property was an old nice machiya they updated it with a nice bathroom. But the beds were really comfy. I didn’t care for the location because it was far from bus and train station. It’s a long hot walk with all our luggage. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again because of location but the inn was really great.

The communication with the host was great, although they have not send me the check in instructions ahead of time - like stated in the description, and only sent them when I contacted them a few hours before our arrival. Very dusty, kitchen was very dirty, with sticky stains. We have contacted the host about it and they immediately send someone to clean. The house looks cute but very uncomfortable. Far from everything. Huge plus is the washing machine and the stove and the fridge. The beds and the pillows were pretty comfortable.

Recently refurbished property, air conditioned and with kitchenette. Good condition, although not cleaned. Cutlery was dirty, bath was dirty. Very dusty, missing bedsheets (told to find in the closet, which there wasn’t one). Lamp shade fell down in the night leaving even more dust everywhere. So, disappointed all in all. Fairly simple accommodation so it wouldn’t have been hard to make it perfect.

This charming inn is an excellent accommodation for families. With two bedrooms, our family of five enjoyed a comfortable and spacious stay. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of a second-floor bathroom, which meant we needed to descend to the ground floor each time we required restroom facilities. Despite this small drawback, the inn was otherwise exceptional and met all our needs perfectly.

We loved our stay here. The owner responded immediately to any questions we had. It was a short walk to the convenience store and train station. The machiya had everything we needed, and we loved the quiet and privacy it offered over a hotel. We highly recommend it and would stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Absolutely amazing stay in such a unique property, loved it. It is a bit remote from the center but I think it gives it even more charm, we were able to experience the busy lifestyle Kyoto has to offer and go home for a nice night of peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.

Great little Old World stay with updated amenities. Be aware, there are three different houses with the same name. We stood outside one panicking for almost 15 minutes before realizing. Management was responsive, although it took about 20 minutes via email.

Very beautiful place to stay in central Kyoto that is near all the essentials such as the train station and convenience store. Was a bit unclear with some of the check-in instructions, but overall would highly recommend anyone visiting Kyoto to stay here.

距離丹波站電車走路約需要8-10分鐘非常方便且附近也都有超市或是便利商店。 住宿環境非常優雅且舒適，巷弄內也非常安靜，推薦前往京都旅行的人可以參考一家民宿。
