This property was an amazing sight to behold. My wife and I arrived later in the evening and the staff was friendly and accommodating during the entirety of our stay. The surrounding area and property itself is beautiful. My wife and I enjoyed our stay so much that we started discussing returning on a future visit to Japan. This hotel was amazing. It is old, but you feel like you are staying in a part of history. Everyone was very nice and the breakfast was amazing. We loved the true Japanese breakfast. We will stay at this hotel again when we go back to Kyoto. There is a wonderful pizza place around the corner as well.

Very nice accommodations and the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. They were always willing to help out with calling cabs for us and the restaurant inside the ryokan is very good.
