Brilliant, stay. Beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you are looking for a unique experience this is it. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we loved the traditional breakfast, they were accommodating to my husband who can’t eat fish. They have a courtesy bus that takes you to Arashiyama which I didn’t know and so glad they suggested. The futons are hard but I got used to them. They also said their onsen is tattoo friendly. But most of the place is in such a spectacular forest it was so pretty in the late autumn I will definitely be going back.

This Ryokan was one of the coolest experiences we have had in Japan. We love the location in the mountains, with easy to access temples and shrines nearby. The staff was very attentive and kind and treated us very nice. Very quiet very humble very Japan.
