Not heaps of shops handy but there is a supermarket really close and the apartments are in the free tram zone so really easy and quick to get anywhere.

Deep Blue Hotel & Hot Springs: Luxury hotel with free WiFi and an indoor pool. Located near the boardwalk.
Very limited restaurant on the Tuesday night we stayed. 20 min walk to the centre with dining options. Hotel is lovely and we squeezed in a hot springs session the morning we checked out. Definitely recommend that. Great facilities.
