Great hospitality

The room was provided with complimentary biscuits and hot drinks that were really nice. The bed was very comfy and the pillows were soft too. We had a breakfast the next morning which was great. There was lots of options the hot food was heated well and the cold breakfast bits were all set up neatly.

Lovely hotel, great staff

A lovely hotel and spa, really superb staff. Lovely room, really clean and spacious. I would go back. However, the rooms are not soundproofed so lots of door slamming and other people’s tv sounds. The spa was fine one day but then rammed the next which was not massively relaxing! (But not sure you can do much about that). I come from london and was surprised that the drinks were more expensive here than at home!

Regular choice to break Bristol-Scotland trips

Stayed a few times now, so evidently meets our needs. Love the breakfast. Love the pools, sauna, steam room. Love the bath, as nothing beats a bath after a 5 hour drive (the pool being closed late evening). Visitors wanting an extensive view of the Cheshire countryside may wish to make specific room enquiries or to look elsewhere: many rooms look-out onto a wall a couple of meters away.

Not up to the usual standard. This was our 4th stay here and the worst so far. Booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. Arrived late at night to find nowhere in the room for the kids to sleep! The sofa bed hadn’t been made up. Took half an hour to get this sorted by which time kids were exhausted. Then found out no working AC in the room so it was like sleeping in a sauna. Next day had to switch rooms, again to find the room wasn’t made up for a family. Two towels for 4 people and not the usual treats they leave in the room for the kids. Staffing was very short during the whole stay with 1 person at the desk at all times, trying to sort housekeeping and answer the phones. Feels like it’s gone downhill since our previous stay last year.

Good countryside getaway.

Parking can be difficult to find on weekends, but overall, you need a car to be staying here as the nearest food options are at least a 5 min drive away. The bathroom is tiny, and the room can ve quite dusty.

Breakfast was poor, room was great, bar was very noisy (but not atmosphere just very noisy!). Limited selection at breakfast and average at best service at breakfast made for a disappointing experience. Good location for airport, 15min drive. Lots of parking.
