Booked a two night stay, on arrival was greeted by two loud parties happening, so loud I couldn't communicate with the reception staff to check in, the music carried on thumping away till 3am. I'm staying for work so could have done with a decent night's sleep, just finished work and come to the hotel for the second night and another party booming away, I'm on the second floor but it's still very loud! Obviously sound insulation wasn't a thing when the hotel was built. The rooms very dated, and the light switch near the door in my room is broken so you are welcomed into the room in darkness thumbling around the for a second switch by the bed in the pitch black. The breakfast was good however and the staff are nice but don't expect a peaceful night's sleep.

We paid for a family room that had clearly had smokers in there. We were then asked to move to a different room with a single sofa bed, this room had not been cleaned, towels on the floor, toilet paper on the floor, bin full of rubbish, stains on the bed. This place felt run down, well in need of a makeover.

Please do not stay here on a weekend if you have a young family and actually want to sleep. There was a Xmas party on at the hotel the noise from the disco was unbearable in the room. Felt like I was in the party. Could hear all words to every song. Lights in room were flickering, reported them and no one came. Avoid!!!

Check in and check out was very quick. Staff were very friendly. Got upgraded for free to a larger room which was nice. Shower and bathroom were great, clean and spacious. Parking was a little difficult as it was busy, and there are no plug sockets by the bed, just USB connections. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Room was a bit dated and you could hear everything. From about 3pm till around 11:30 was constant banging music plus the extremely thin doors and walls means I could hear everything, doors banging, shouting, kids running around. Had to sleep in my AirPods. No control over heating just a Dyson fan that had seen better days so when it was turned on it made a constant rattling noise. I used to live just round the corner from here and it had a good reputation so not sure what’s happened.

Very well appointed for the price . Thought we had an issue trying to contact hotel to let them know we were going to be late for table reservation at 9pm having driven 5 hours . Phone just kept ringing out . However wonderful bar staff managed to cconjur a meal for us right at 9-20 after kitchen was closed . Excellent service
