The heating/ac unit did not work properly. It was very hot in our room both nights and nothing I did on the thermostat changed that. The shower never heated beyond Luke-warm temperature which made showering uncomfortable. The rooms are spacious and mattresses are ok but the pillows are just lumps of cotton and no good options to use. Finally, the hotel charged me on the card I simply reserved with and the one I swiped to pay with onsite - double charging me. The front desk said I’d have to wait days to get my money back and sent me 2,000 points which is equivalent to $16 for them holding an additional almost $600 for days and days. Would not stay here again.

We like how the hotel is close to 129 and shopping and restaurants in Alcoa. It’s located in the newer area being built up with commercial buildings. The hotel itself is clean and the 2nd floor was quiet during our stay. The room is spacious. The smell was meh and the pillows are too soft for our liking. The bath towels could use more softener. Overall, it was a good one night stay at the Fairfield. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff was friendly.
