We had a nice stay at the Amsterdam Curry Inn, but please be aware, as we were not; not a clear description, it is run like an airbnb. There is no front desk; all communication was through text messages (and they were quick to reply). There is no daily housekeeping (no making of beds, fresh towels, bathroom wiped down) unless you wish to pay an additional fee. However, if you ask, they will bring fresh towels, but not take away the used towels. And bring your own Kleenex. I asked about getting some in the room, and they don't "provide Kleenex". But they did give me 2 purse packets of Kleenex. The location was perfect and very walkable to restaurants and activities. Would I stay there again? Probably not as the price for 3 nights was outrageously high and I expected it to be run like a hotel and not fend for yourself.

Check in is at 4:00 pm and there is no way to get early check in even though there is nobody in your room. All of the other hotels including the high end resorts will allow you to your room if it’s ready. Checkout is at 10:00 AM when most are at least 11:00. There was long black hair on the wall in the shower, and I am a redhead.

Don't Bother

No one available to check you in. Text messages only. I wandered into the kitchen to find the only perosn working...Thank God for the cook or we wouldn't have figured it out since no one answered the phone on the number listed by the front door. There is no check-in desk. You are close to Duval...a big plus but SO CLOSE and the building is so poorly insulated that the Music is so loud coming into the room it could be heard through my noise cancelling ear buds until 3am. Literally felt like we had our own DJ in the bathroom all night.I mentioned it via text to the staff...they responded with 'hope it's better tomorrow night'. It wasn't. Bed was like a taco...time to replace that one. We've stayed in Key West 70+ times over the past 30 years...really wanted to love this place but...scratching it off the list.

I paid a lot of money for this property. Except for the location, not as advertised. Dingy, musty in common areas. Complimentary coffee, breakfast and happy hour no longer included. No maid service. No onsite staff.

This property is great! It is steps from Duval St., Mallory Square and beaches. The room was clean and had everything that we needed. The pool area was great as well. I highly recommend this property and will stay here again!

The location was perfect, steps from Duval St., Mallory Square, and easy walking distance to anything else you needed. The room was clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The pool area was great, clean, beach towels provided. I highly recommend staying here, and will stay here again.

We had stayed at Curry Mansion off and on for decades. It was wonderful, friendly, had a great breakfast and wonderful happy hour. The people who ran the place were great. We booked here again recently and my, oh my, what a difference! There was no one to check us in, no housekeeping to speak of (just a bunch of towels in the bathroom that was to last all week), bed never made. Nothing cleaned. No tissues. No cups for the bathroom. One tiny bar of soap for the 2 of us for the week. No coffee (unless you paid $5 a cup at the little bar area set up outside -- as well as breakfast for an exorbitant cost). Bar drinks were also expensive. No real human contact at all. We had lauded this place for years. No more.

Do not stay at this property! The description on the website does not match what you receive when you get there. It says there is coffee and tea in the common areas and there is not; you have to buy a cup of coffee for five dollars. The waitress/bartender was not friendly, nor helpful.Our check-in was not on time and it took us 45 minutes to get our room cleaned and to get our passcode to get into our room. The pool area is not nice. It hasn’t been updated in years. There’s no one on the property to speak to. You have to call, and ver rarely does anyone answer, or message them. Not worth the price!
