Parking in the garage next door was easy, front desk and all staff helpful and super friendly! Food was good, drinks were great! The hotel is gorgeous and historic, but also super comfortable and clean. Only issue was the really long wait to get a drink at the bar on Saturday night, I understand they were extremely busy and working as hard as possible, but they needed more staff.

The Brown Hotel is a beautiful classy historical treasure. The room was spacious and clean. We used valet parking but that was unnecessary since self parking was very convenient. Bar staff was great. The chef even stopped to chat about our shrimp & grits which was so so good. It was a short walk to Fourth Street Live area and most restaurants but it seemed super safe and clean. I would recommend 100%.

Staff was friendly and the room was spacious. Food and beverage in the bar and main restaurant was excellent. The lobby is very charming. The guest rooms, however, are very dated. The hotel hasn’t invested any money in guest room renovations and it shows. The rooms smelled smoky and old/dingy because the furniture and carpet haven’t been replaced in decades. We paid entirely too much money for our room. The hotel is marketed as an upscale hotel, yet they had a very cheap coffee maker and plastic-wrapped plastic cups in the bathroom. These are items that you would see in a limited service motel, not an upscale historic hotel charging over $400 a night. Disappointing.
